I had to get additional bloodwork done for whatever is going on with my ankle, and I'm hoping she's checking my HCG again. There's absolutely no reason to, it's my PCP and we're trying to rule out Lyme's and other bug-borne illness. But she didn't have to last week either, so I can hope, right?

My wonderful 13yo DS just got annoyed at me for looking at his face because it has a huge zit on it and my looking at it draws attention to it.
1. I still can't see the zit he's referring too 2. Does he seriously expect me to talk to him without looking at him?!? 3. I'm not the only hormonal one around here.
This thread can last however long we want it to, I just want a place to SQUEE about three BFPs in GKU today. + someone to talk me down, and tell me to be patient, and not call the doc for the results of my blood test the minute it becomes 'afternoon'.
I am in the same boat!!! Tuesday they called me at 9:50... Now I cant concentrate on ANYTHING. This is BS. These Docs need to give us our numbers! lol
Less of a random, more of a WTF, but I don't care. I phoned my doctors today to get a pregnancy confirmation appointment, and was told I had to wait two weeks to see my normal doctor. I asked if I could get one sooner with another doctor because I'm far too impatient for that, and the receptionist said, 'Oh, well you can have one with your doctor tomorrow.' Well then why not tell me that in the first place? I didn't say that, but I still though it was a bit stupid.
I am one of the three GKU BFPs from today and CANNOT DO ANY WORK TODAY.
I called my OB's office, and when she heard it was me and what my news was the receptionist literally screamed into the phone "I'M SO EXCITED FOR YOU. I'M CALLING DR. R. RIGHT NOW AND WE'RE GETTING A PLAN TOGETHER." I love my OB's office (They were also my OB for my youngest, so they know our history very well and are SO accommodating. I'm a super low maintenance patient actually, but it helps me to know if I need something I never have to fight for it).
And of course MH is SO chill and mature about it all. I'm like you do not have to sit with this knowledge PLUS the uterus all day long. YOU DON'T KNOW MY LYFE!

That doesn't make a lick of sense. But at least you got a sooner appointment?
Danish people are weird, I think that I the only answer.

Yay to the BFP's new to the board! The first OB appointments are uneventful but yet SO meaningful to us... Legit confirmation? The first heartbeats?? Come on offices work with us and give us the appointments we want damnit!!!

Lyme's is terrifying. FX it's not that.
They called me back about my bloodwork, my B12 is a little high and my sodium levels are low... no wonder I've been salting everything lately.

People are stupid.
Once I called an eye center to get a new contact prescription... showed up and they informed me that I was scheduled to see the eyeglass doctor and that he could not write a contact prescription. I was all WTF, why do people have to be so stupid?
I'm over here sulking that my OB office doesn't schedule appointments until after 8 weeks so I'm not going in until Sep. 3.
I think this is usually pretty standard. From what I have been told the measurements are more accurate at that point. If you are having an u/s you are more likely to see what they need to see.

I'm a little pissed off because I went in for blood work to confirm the pregnancy. I told the chick that I tested super early and she goes "I hope you know that this will be a really low number then". No shit. So then my ob's office calls back and says to me "you have to wait until next week and go for another blood test. We don't like to schedule appts until your numbers are in the 3000's, you know, just in case". What the fuck.
