thatblondie from the old spam thread - No, I never asked H to get up in the MOTN with Madeline. I think I may be in the minority here (I'm not sure) but I never really felt right about it. For sure, some days I was tired, but I figured my MOTN wakeups entitled us to just have a lazy day at home if needed. The possible difference for us though was that when M was small, H had a different position within the same company. When he was on shift he was required to put in 10 hr days, but there was always a possibility of problems and he could end up working late or being called out in the MOTN on any of his days on (he worked 8 on 6 off). I kind of had a groove going at night so he just stayed out of it even when he was off, but he would let me sleep in on the days he was home. He works M-F now and would only get called out in the MOTN if his operators were having a really serious problem. It has already been discussed that I will handle all new baby wake ups, but he will be handling anything that has to do with Madeline.

thatblondie - I'm probably in the super minority, but even when I was working, I did all the MOTN wake-ups. Since LO was breastfeeding, and that's what LO wanted in the MOTN, unless things went really squirrely (screaming, terrible gas, explosive poops that needed a second set of hands to deal with) I let DH sleep.

mcbush, she spent the weekend with her boyfriend, which helped, and has a very busy week at work to keep her distracted. But she's definitely worried -- just trying not to focus on it.

And now E has a low-grade fever with his cough. Guess he and I will not be going to Denver today. Oh well. I hope he'll go down for an early nap -- he's so tired and miserable.

So last night before I put B to bed, I ran downstairs to grab a can of Diet Pepsi (my weakness!) and swap over the laundry. I came upstairs, set the unopened can on the banister in our living room, and grabbed B to put him to bed. In the <5 minutes it took me to get him down, my older son had grabbed the can and somehow, someway SMASHED it to a point that it opened. And he proceeded to spill the opened can all over my living room chair and a basket of cleaned, folded laundry sitting next to the chair.
Three things. First, how the EFF does a year old squeeze open a full and unopened can of soda successfully? Second, he KNOWS better than to do that. He knew he was doing something wrong, and it makes me so upset that he did this Third, any suggestions for getting soda out of an upholstered chair? Thankfully the chair is red, but there's definitely a noticeable dark spot.
Yesterday I was a total Bitch. But I was also a beast! I did 12,493 steps around my house. I only left once to go to the pharmacy. I did a little purging and cooking. I guess that was more than enough to get me over my goal. I was shocked.
lioness13 PAGING lioness13! I saw a smaller version of the brownie brittle at Target in the cookie section!
Woohoo! Great timing! I was just thinking about going to Target on my lunch break! Well now I'm definitely going! I will need something to eat while I'm snowed in (figuratively in solidarity with NE J13Bs).
We lost one of DD's books a few weeks ago. I have looked for it EVERYWHERE. DH just found it under the mountain of crap he keeps on his dresser. Makes me feel justified in nagging him to clean up his stuff.

Talked to my hubby today. He is coming down with a cold. Of course it happens right before he is due to come home. Hoping whatever it is passes quickly and he doesn't bring it home to us.

Today was supposed to be my 6wPP appt but my dr is sick so the office called to cancel and reschedule. They didn't have anything available with my dr until Monday of next week. I told them that won't work for me! So now I get to see a different dr and my appt is Tom morning. So glad that I'll have this appt out of the way before my hubby gets home.

thatblondie I never asked DH to get us with DD in MOTN if he had work the next day. In the first week or so he would help be me out with diaper changes etc, but not after that. I figured I needed to be up to feed her (BF), there was no need for both of us to be up in MOTN. I was, however, super pissed that he never offered to get up with her on the weekend to let me sleep in a little.
The day I forget my lunch the east coasters schedule conference calls from 11-1. I need to eat people! I just grabbed nutterbutters from the company store. That's healthy right?
