Is anyone else's baby really gassy? What are some tips? Bicycle legs don't work and I feel like he's constipated too but I'm not sure a 7 week old can get constipated yet. I use gripe water, incline(but trying to wean him away from rock n play), and he's just always pushing and turning red. Is this or has that happened to any of your kids?
My baby is always gassy, especially at night. I've been using gas relief drops from little remedies and the poor boy still screams all night long. Sorry I don't have any tips, but I can definitely relate.

I have that, too! My mother said to try heating up a cloth, in the microwave or something, and make sure it's warm and put it on his tummy. Give it a try. I will try it today, too!

He might not be overly gassy as much as just trying to get things coordinated. If they clench their butt they end up working against themselves Whig can be really frustrating and distressing. Some babies have more problems than others. Both of mine really struggled with this. As long as what comes out isn't hard then they aren't constipated.
I've done the I love you colic massage which helps some, but ultimately they have to get the coordination down on their own. There is a product called the Windi that might help, but it is probably advisable to talk to your pediatrician about it first.
If you feel there is a lot of gas and you are Bf you can try cutting back on gassy foods. Some babies are sensitive to dairy so you could try cutting back or avoiding dairy for a couple weeks to see if there is any improvement.
Make sure to burp thoroughly. You might want to burp once kid feed and once at the end. Changing positions often helps mine get bubbles out.

I've never heard of that before, but it sounds like it's worth a shot. I will definitely give that a try! Thanks!
I feel like she is really gassy but I'm not sure that she's necessary in pain from the gas. I agree with other's, she seems more gassy at night. I always internalize it and assume it's from something that I ate during the day (breastfed baby), but maybe it's something more...?
Is your baby screaming at the same time at night or literally All night? My son had colic and would scream at the same time from 5 to 8 every night until he was 10 weeks. I would have him lay on me tummy down and I would rub his back. And walking helped. It was basically hell from 5 to 10 weeks. You could try putting a swaddling blanket in the dryer and swaddle tight. If it's truly gas have you tried avoiding certain foods if you breast feed? We thought DS had gas too but at 8 weeks the dr starting talking about colic so maybe ask the pediatrician if it doesn't go away. Good luck.... It's so hard when you know their uncomfortable.

Definitely came here because I am STILL PREGNANT and SUPER GASSY. We definitely aren't in the 2nd trimester anymore, so many outside babies! Good luck finding a way to ease your LO's discomfort!

B is horribly gassy. Poor baby wakes up from discomfort all the time tries to push it out doesn't succeed and as soon as he calms down he lets out a small poof and goes right back to trying to push.
