My kitchen needs a good cleaning but instead I'm letting DD nap on me. I fight the fight of bedtime but napping im much more of a softie. My theory is she really only naps at home 2 days/week and usually were doing stuff that she naps in car. It really is so infrequent that she naps here anyway.
This afternoon we're going to an engagement party for DHs good friend. It's a BBQ so should be a good time. Yesterday every time Emma met someone shed show off her dance moves..I hope she does it today bc it's adorable.
Our neighbors had a big party yesterday. We all went then my husband brought the baby home then I brought our toddler home and then I went back. Uggh I so drank too much. I was seriously hurting and in bed till 9. I know my husband was not happy with me but was very nice to get up with the kids. I feel better but still not great.
For those of you that bought shoes for LO, where did you buy them? I want to get some to transition with DS for walking, but mostly to protect his feet when we are in public.
We just got our little guy stride rite early walkers. My advice is to go to the store and get your LO measured and then shop online (they sell them on Amazon). We almost exclusively buy the kids SR - they are really good shoes.
Our toddler didn't need shoes until he was 13 months lol.
We went to a store run by podiatrists to get K sized and then got her walking shoes they recommended. I also picked up some sandals for water play and some non leather shoes for really hot daycare days from target.
I've bought shoes on Amazon for cheap. Once she needs more supportive shoes I'll probably spend a little more money - but for now it's just to protect her feet from the ground when out and about.

I bought stride rite for my little guy. They had a bogo at the outlet store when I went. My plan is to take the one pair back and exchange for the next size when he's walking more. For now I want him to adjust to having shoes on his feet for winter.
My great grandpa passed away this morning. He has been on hospice care since May and has been on a lot of medicine to help pain. I can't take the time off to go to the funeral (tues) because Monday is the first day of school and I work with students who have autism do that would not be good. I do have to work with my mom to get my LO to someone by a certain time Monday bc she needs to go up to the wake by a certain time (it's her grandpa). LO and I are at SIL house so he can play with his cousins. Tonight I'm babysitting a 5 and 2 year old that I watched all summer. DH comes home tomorrow
I'm so sorry. Losing family is never easy, even when you know it's coming.

So this sleep regression.. is this due to a growth spurt or neurological advancements? A sleeps through the night (8 or 9 to 6) about 4-5 nights a week. Well, at least he did. The last several nights he's woken up at least three times. We let him self soothe because he never really cries, but he's eaten six ounces in the middle of the night two nights in a row. Did he forget that he doesn't need to eat during the night anymore!?!?! One day I'll get more than six hours of sleep per night again.

I don't follow the leaps, etc., but I'm thinking growth spurt. DS is eating more all around, but especially solids, and is popping 3 teeth, and gaining like crazy. He also woke up hungry earlier last night, which is more like other growth spurts. We haven't had a single night of STTN since April, though.
