This is what I'm excited for most, her to have interaction with other kids.
I'm not looking forward to the adjustment period, or her crying when I leave her. Who knows, maybe she won't care. And then I'll be sad because of that. Haha!
Mine doesn't care when I leave her at daycare. If I walk away from her in the house, all bets are off.
That's how DD is.. At daycare she probably cares but she loves seeing the other babies. But the excitement when she sees me at pick up...BEST FEELING IN THE WORLD!!
Tonight DD fell asleep while actively eating dinner. I gave her a bath and she was asleep by 6:15. If this continues I'm going to have to ask daycare to ensure she gets her two naps. Today she took a late nap and it was only 45 minutes and that was it.

Dd has fallen asleep while eating twice. Both times it was days she refused to nap. It's kinda cute though watching them fall asleep while eating. But certainly not on a regular.

I'm surprised they don't do more to get her to nap. I know you said she's not a great napper, but that's ridiculous.
DH came home with a much needed case of beer tonight. It occurs to me that I am on quite the drinking streak. I know that I drank at least the last two days or so before vacation and then every day while I was gone and now every day since I've been back. That's at least 16 consecutive days. Maybe that's not so impressive, I don't know, but it's definitely a lot more than my norm!

We have something to drink almost every night. Having a beer or a glass of wine with dinner shouldn't be a big deal. Now getting trashed every night might be a problem.

kellrr I think because she is so pleasant and happy that it's easier to keep her up then fight nap time. I really hope when she moves to the next class and everyone naps at same time this improves. pinkie gives me hope with her toddler that this will happen.
Hi ladies! It's been a looong time. Sorry to be one of the hags that just disappeared. I blame life, summer and LO.
LO has a fascination with the phone and computer, so I never use either when he's around now. He's 9mos, 24lbs and 28inches. Still a chunky lil man! Crawls, pulls up and walks along as long as he's holding on to something.
Since it's summer we spend a lot of time outside also, which also hinders my internetz time.
Work. Oh work. My company is being bought out, and the new benefits are crappy and nobody knows anything. The fear of the unknown. The past 8weeks waiting for the takeover has been hell and anxiety producing. I have NO confidence in this new company so I've frantically been putting my resume back together and applying at places. There are no radiology jobs around here so I feel up the creek and stuck.
That's me in a nutshell, haven't changed anything else.
Our little guy got a totally clean bill of health which is good. She told me to seriously up his prune intake because the only other options are laxatives and a suppository which is a one or two time emergency fix. So I stopped and bought him all the prunes I could find.
On a positive, I got to spend a little one on one time with him .
staryb - did I miss it, did you tell us what maintenance said?
Nothing conclusive so far. They just took pictures and went to "investigate" to see if it could be coming from the roof or our upstairs neighbors. They did say they would take care of it though so that's something I guess.

Glad your little guy is ion good health. I hope the prunes help, just not too well, and not all at once!
pinkie how much prune did she recommend? We did a miralax course and for a couple days after DS was still doing good, and now we are back to tiny, hard poops and painful constipation. we have given prune juice but I have to mix it with food because he won't drink it. It's been a couple weeks since I tried so I might try again. Our pedi didn't give us much guidance.
I took depositions today that will hopefully help my case survive a dismissal.
I haven't pooped on myself in 2 days.
LO took 5 consecutive steps tonight.
I guess a celebration is in order. Small scale.
I hate depos but glad it was a good use of your time, at least. Yay steps and champagne!
These were actually pretty fun. The case is the closest to the legal depiction in movies that I'm going to get. People are lying and I can't get witnesses to sat what I know they know. I got a little closer today with one guy giving multiple inconsistent statements throughout his deposition. And it all conflicted with testimony of 4 others.

Oooh, talk dirty to me! I worked on a motion to dismiss for failure to state a claim today. Oh, and I had opposing counsel tell me that if I made a counter offer that he would consider their offer rejected. Dude, I went to law school, too. I know how a counter offer works.
