Well it looks like we may have an answer for MH's SA issues. He had some blood work done and it came back that he has low testosterone. RE said he's a good candidate for Clomid, but wants to wait and see how this cycle goes before discussing this more. I'm on CD8 today, so took my last does of Letrozole yesterday. Luckily so bad side effects for me. Slightly more likely to cry, but I'm fairly emotional anyways. I do keep having like cramps/feeling where my ovaries are, so hopefully that's good and means I've got some follies growing! I go in on Friday for CD12 ultrasound/blood work and I'm also having my HSG down that day. Hopefully all goes well and we can trigger that night and then do the IUI over the weekend.
Does anyone know how long we should abstain from sex before? Since I don't know when the IUI will be it's making it hard to figure out when we should have sex to time things right. Boo.
Our RE wanted us to have sex until I got the positive OPK and then abstain that night, go in for IUI the next day, and have sex that night. I got the + before I even had my monitoring, so we ended up having sex on -2 and -1 (per doc's orders) and doing the IUI on O. He wanted us to have sex that night, too, but DH just didn't have it in him anymore. My H's SA all came back normal or higher than normal in good ways, though, so our doc wasn't worried about sperm counts even after basically no abstinence.
On the bench currently until I have two periods post D&C. Then off to clomid and ovidrel I go. My doc is really optimistic this will work. I'm really hoping so!! Sorry for the post and run. Benadryl is kicking my ass.

Yeah, we're doing a trigger so I basically will just be waiting until they tell me to do the shot! I'm thinking if things look good Friday I would trigger that night and then do the IUI on Saturday/Sunday... From what has been said I think we'd have sex Thursday and be good for the 2-3 day range. RE also wants us to have sex the night of IUI and the next day. That's more of a "hey it couldn't hurt" measure then anything else.
Me (30) MH (32) Dx: MFI (low all the things) M. 10/11. TTC Since 01/14 IUI#1-3(Letrozole + Trigger) = BFN Second Opinion. Changed RE's. IVF 09/15 Long Lupron 12R/9M/8F, Transferred 1=BFN. 4 frosties. FET #1 12/15 Transferred 1 (3 still on ice)
RE called today with the results of H's blood test. The clomid had been working! On half tab per day, his testosterone levels have risen 200 points to 631! She would still like to see them at at least 1,000 so she is upping his dose for the next couple months. In mid-March, he will go in for another SA to see if rising T levels are starting to benefit his sperm. This was good news for me today!
Also, I asked what to do if I get pregnant. Do I call the RE or just my normal OB? They said with history of loss and the fact that we are being seen for infertility, I should get initial treatment from them even though I'm not the one with the infertity diagnosis. This surprised me a little.
Hello! This is my first post on The Dark Side. Glad I found you ladies again
I'm on CD10. Our initial plan was injects/IUI this month, but my baseline ultrasound showed clearly polycystic ovaries. This is a new diagnosis for me (CD3 bloodwork was normal but I do have very irregular cycles) so maybe you could move me from MFI to combined, cateyes? Thanks. I also found out that I have a retroverted uterus, but my RE doesn't seem concerned about that. He is concearned, however, about OHSS with the number of follies I had (13 on the right and 19 on the left) so he decided to be conservative with clomid instead of injects. After I dropped over a thousand dollars on meds ?. I'm pissed but I do understand his concern. I just wish I hadn't already ordered the meds. I'm hoping I'll eventually be able to use them if this cycle is a bust. I had my second scan today with no dominant follicle yet. I go back on Friday.
Good luck to everyone, and hugs to those who need them. Extra creepy stranger hug for twinkie0612 - I'm so sorry your FET was cancelled.

Anyway, I'm thinking of you all this week!!
Even before I started medicated cycles the RE told me to see them if I got a BFP. They like to monitor (and take credit for) the pregnancy.
I got my BFP last Wednesday and am now 4w4d. For anyone interested in the IF treatment details, it was a cycle with 7.5mg Femara + u/s + Trigger on CD16 + Progesterone suppositories. After 3.5 years trying and 3 years of treatment (on and off), I never ever thought this would happen. The two early losses the first treatment year only made it less likely. I didn't even accept it until Sunday - it all feels like a giant surreal blur.
Thank you SO much for running this check-in all this time. It was such a great place to get support and I am going to miss everyone here. I really hope to see you all on the flip side soon.
Congrats! Did you do TI or IUI? That's the exact protocol my RE wants to use, so I got excited :-)
After almost three years of TTC, IVF #1 = Menopur + Follistim + other stuff. Retrieved 14, 12 mature, 7 fertilized, only 1 (6AA) made it to day 5 blast. BFP! DD born 12-10-2016
MrsRC88 We get our results back the same day. Maybe call the office and ask.
remylove1011 We have sex at least on trigger day. Usually a couple times before that as well. I try to time it every 2-3 days but it can be hard when you don't know when you'll trigger.
Update for me. IUI#3 was yesterday so I'm officially in my 2ww. H had amazing results again post wash. They had an easier time getting the catheter in this time compared to last time. So I guess we just wait...

Finally able to catch up and respond, life!! I am breaking up my responses into a couple of posts so it is easier to read
samanthasays-good luck with your IUI! Hopefully this will be just what you need!!
@diodra-Good luck with your appointment today. FX for some good news today! Yay for good news!!!!! FX for good results!!!!
kariann12-I am glad you have a plan! Ours seem similar (no trigger for me this cycle though). Good luck!
ldubhawksfan-Take the time you need to feel ready to move on. Just like when you start TTC, you both have to be ready for whatever step. And that sucks that the office cannot just send over your results!! Have you looked at goodrx.com for cheaper med coupons? Hugs to you!
beckynsean11-Welcome and so sorry you are back here in this way. Hopefully you can get into the doctor soon and get back in the game since you are ready!! Also I added Tad to our angel babies, I am sorry this was not done before, I didn't know.
@ketchup-got you updated! We too are starting the process for fostering. We seem to be in the same boat-we had thought we would do it after we had our first kiddo or 2 but now we are potentially reversing the order! Good luck!
lg2793-no advice (first cycle of letrozole here), but FX for you!
remylove1011-no advice, but wishing you good luck!!!!
MrsRC88-we got the SA results in the mail like 2 days later, but the RE had them that same day. They have to be done ASAP because of timing and such so your OB should be able to get them fairly quickly!
alpies-that sucks for the waste of money, but yes better safe than sorry. Why do meds have to be so expensive?!?!?!

We will take the time we need. That is why even though DH said he came around on CD1, we aren't pursuing meds this cycle. I need to know everything and be ready.
I haven't looked at that site. I figured I would probably post an AW post on 3T calling for injects experience when we start looking into it more. From lurking, it seems that some insurances pick and choose which inject meds they will cover, so I need to start with going over the list with them and my RE. Them I'll ask for advice on cheap but safe online pharms. I'll keep goodrx.com in mind though! Thanks!!

ldubhawksfan Sorry you're feeling frustrated! It's like IF isn't stressful enough. They have to go ahead and make it crazy expensive.
Daikoku It's okay to feel that way! Sometimes you just have to remove yourself from those situations for your own sanity. I just had to unfollow a bunch of people on instagram and deactivate my Facebook because all the pregnancy announcements and baby pictures my friends were posting were really starting to get to me. I'm honestly super happy for them but it still hurts to see people have what you're struggling to get. I'm usually good at putting on a happy face, but sometimes I'm not. And that's okay. You're allowed to take a break from the squees to focus on yourself and what you're going through.
b Congrats! Hope you have a happy and healthy 9 months!!
AFM, nothing major to report here. I'm on CD13 of a natural cycle.
QOTW: Always wanted to be a SAHM. But career wise, I wanted to either be a teacher/professor or own a little restaurant. I'm not doing any of that now but I do own a business. Definitely not a business I ever thought I'd be a part of but I'm happy where I'm at.

Congrats to b! H&H 9 months to you! Glad you've got progress with your H's testosterone, Daikoku! So happy you've got a plan, kariann12! Good luck to @buttmonkey and remylove1011 Hugs twinkie0612 Glad you're able to move on, @diordra! FX for all those cycling and hugs to CD 1 peeps.
AFM, yet another disappointing U/S on Monday. No response again so they cancelled my IUI. The nurse who informed me said I needed to come in to "discuss next steps" so we did that today. The doctor pretty much said we can try injectables + trigger + IUI with a 20% success rate each cycle, or go straight to IVF with a 60% success rate per cycle. Of course there was some major sticker shock when we talked with the financial department about the costs. Now we are weighing the options and hope to come to a decision in the coming weeks. Until then we will just be doing natural cycles.

I was benched, because of a recent CP. I've heard conflicting things on whether it's necessary to wait. I was only 4w5d and no d&c.
