First ultrasound scheduled 9/4, so I might switch after that.
OP: I'm bleeding. Woke up at 5am to a gush of dark red blood. Yesterday I had tiny amounts of brown spotting so I tried not to worry. I'm 4w5d based on when I ovulated, or 5w2d based on LMP.
I lost my last baby at 3w6d/4w3d.
My first appt with the ob was supposed to be in two weeks. Last time they wouldn't see me for betas when I started bleeding because I hadn't had my first appt and 'technically wasn't their patient yet'. They said I had to go to my PCP, who wouldn't see me until almost a week later, plus I was out of town when the bleeding started anyway. I ended up at the ER in my in-laws town because the hospital was the only place that would see me. I had a blood draw and a useless ultrasound.
My H is going to call the PCP at 7:00 when it opens and the ob at 8:30 when it opens. I can't deal with telling this story over and over AGAIN.
It's still too early to see anything on an ultrasound, right?
So sorry you're going through this - bleeding is always scary. It would most likely be too early to see anything on an ultrasound - you definitely wouldn't see a heartbeat or anything yet. They might be able to see the sac and the fetal pole. I hope you can get some answers from the doctor today. ((Hugs))

I'm so sorry you're going through this. It is so unsettling to see blood, but please remember that it is not all doom and gloom! Spotting in healthy pregnancies happens. I've been spotting on and off for a little over a week and am concerned but not freaking out. I spotted from 3DPO - 5weeks, too.
I doubt you'd be able to see anything other than a gestational sac at this point. When I had my first scan at 5w6d all we could see was a sac and a blur of a yolk sac. Please try to relax and know that there's really nothing you can do at this point. I hope your OB can get you in for a blood draw to help ease your mind. Hugs!
It may be too early for an ultrasound. In my experience, they typically won't schedule one until your betas are close to 2000, so depending on what your numbers are, they might schedule one for you.
I have an appt with a doctor at 1:15. I don't know if that means just a blood draw, or what? We will see what she has to say.
If it's an appointment with the doctor, you'll probably meet with him/her to talk about what's going on, and then be sent to get blood drawn. That's how it's worked in my experience anyway. It usually takes at least 90 minutes or so to get blood results, so you probably won't hear about that until later on this afternoon.

Went to the doctor. MH is at work, so my mom went with me. Internal ultrasound showed nothing, but I'm not even 5 weeks yet so I think that's normal. I got a quantitative beta drawn today and will have another on Monday morning. I have to call Tuesday morning for the results.

I'm sorry you have to wait so long. I hope your numbers look good! It was probably just too early for an u/s. My practice doesn't even try until they see your levels are high enough, which is usually after the 5 week mark
I was feeling ok about all of this, but now I'm waffling because I haven't had any more blood.
Is it normal to see NOTHING on the ultrasound (4w5d based on O)? Should I have at least seen a sac at this point?
This morning I was resigned to the fact that we were losing the baby. Now I don't know. Am I giving myself false hope?
Totally normal to see nothing at 4w5d. I think I said so before, but my practice won't even try an u/s until they know your levels are over 3000 (which usually happens between 5-6 weeks).
It's a great sign that you haven't seen any more blood. I don't think you're giving yourself false hope at all, but it is so hard not knowing. I'm sorry you have to wait through the weekend before you get your blood results.
I bled from around 5:00am until 11:00am on Friday. Nothing since for almost 72 hours now. I'm still temping and my temps seem low, but my queasy symptoms returned Sunday afternoon.
Did my first blood draw on Friday afternoon (and an ultrasound that showed nothing--not even an empty sac).
Second blood draw is this morning. I'm supposed to call Tuesday morning for the results. If all is well, my next ultrasound is Friday 9/4 (next week).
