Not much going on here. It's technically my weekend off, but I'm working tomorrow afternoon. I need to get the oil in my car changed, haven't decided if I'm going to do that today or not.
Baby question. At our 9mo appt last week the pedi was saying that I should try and get LO down to 3 bottles in a day and the rest be real food. How much milk/formula/real food do you think you ladies are giving your babes? To me 3 bottles just seems a bit crazy. I'd say we are at about 36oz total of formula, with 4-5 bottles in a day. I'm still on purees and small bits of food as we have no teeth yet. He does like the baby food, but I have a hard time getting him to eat a lot of it. Guess I'll have to maybe start offering the baby food first before his bottles, maybe that'll make a difference?
DS is down to 3 bottles now. But he's an awesome eater. He seriously can eat more than me at meals sometimes. If I give him anymore than 3 he pukes it back up.

We are down to less than 20 ounces a day of formula but K is almost 11 months. She has pretty much weaned herself down. I talked to the pedi about it last week and she said they do that as they start to eat more food. She said K won't starve herself. We are also slowly introducing WCM into one to two bottles a day just 1 oz and the rest formula.
ETA: I wouldn't have purposely cut her formula back. K just hasn't been drinking as much which is why I asked the pedi about it.
How is it going with the WCM? I've been thinking I'd like to start slowly adding some to DD's bottle's just to get her used to it before we start weaning in about a month and a half.
I had an accounting professor in college that told us to have a glass of wine before tests. She said it would relax you and you would do better on the test.

I have noticed that she is a little more gassy but doesn't seem to be uncomfortable. She doesn't seem to notice the difference in her bottles. I did try some by itself in a sippy cup to see if she would drink it that way. She took a sip and then glared at me and refused to drink anymore. Apparently she didn't like it.

How often are you offering your babes sippy cups/straw cups? I often forget and feel bad. Oops.
Not as often as we should. Pedi wanted us to try to start weaning at 9mo and we're no where close. He'll take a sip or two to quench his thirst, but he wants bottles.

I do it a couple of times a day. She gets a sippy cup with water at every meal and I usually just hand her her straw cup to play and practice with throughout the day.
sweetsurprise - we offer it at meals or if we're out and about and it's hot out. Otherwise not very often. It's usually on the table though, so if she sees it throughout the day and points at it we give it to her.

ajh1230 don't you love how men are so much more dramatic and whiny about shit we deal with ALL THE TIME? sweetsurprise uhh . . winning!! We have only done a soft spout sippy with water and a splash of juice. We offer it a few times a week. kellrr TP to your H as well. KMW08 We're still at 4-6 bottles a day. Ounces vary wildly from 2 to 8. A is not 10 months yet. Sometimes he gets one in the motn too. Three 8 ounce bottles doesn't seem like too far of a stretch, as they like lo's to start moving toward eating three "meals" a day but typically that's not until around 12 months. saraml13 booo! Don't let it ruin your awesome weekend! supplycloset Hope everything is ok!
I got 2 hours of sleep last night. 4:30-6:30 when the boys got up. My ankle and foot were still numb from the block and it was hard to get my mind off of it. Couldn't get comfortable either. The block wore off about 9 and damn.. it hurts to walk. Even with hydrocodon, it still hurts. I wish I hadn't missed the dietbet, I've been losing weight and now I'm not hungry at all. Boooo! I wish A would go back to STTN. He seems to have hit the sleep regression you all have been talking about. I want to sleep so bad. And also, random thought that just popped into my head, chili cheese fries sound amazing.

maggie6424 - hope your foot feels better soon. That sounds so painful. Also, I hope you get more sleep tonight. I would not be functioning if I only got 2 hours.
My FFFC is that I really am excited for fall and all of the pumpkin treats and even the chilly weather. I just hate winter so much and summer is my favorite time of year so I'm also really dreading it. If we could just go back and forth between summer and fall I'd be very happy indeed.
I do enjoy giving kellrr a hard time about it though

I give her a cup with her meals. Sometimes she drinks some and sometimes she doesn't. I have no idea how we are going to wean her off the bottle when it is time.

We were told to give DS 2-4 oz. of water daily at his 9-month check with the pedi. So, we fill a cup with 8-10 oz at the start of the day and let him sip on it at meals, and every half hour if we are out in the heat. Some days he drinks all of it, but most days it's probably that 4 oz.

Thanks. I don't think I realized how painful healing would be. H finally got up at 9 and I slept from 10 to 11:30, so I'm up to 3.5 hours, whoop whoop!!
