The whining is UNBEARABLE! Also, Z starts crying for me if I walk past her and she thinks I'm going to get her? OR if I walk into another room and she can't see me she gets ragey.
Tantrums now include throwing things, leg slamming and swinging arms.

Yes! The throwing things and leg slamming here too. So frustrating. Does anyone know if the whining gets better when they learn to talk? I'm assuming they whine because they can't communicate with words?
Unfortunately not. My six year old is whiny, as is our 5 year old neighbor.
The whining just gets more grating when they do it once they are capable of effectively voicing what their problem is. The plus side is at least you can tell them you're ignoring them until they use their words.
