After 5 straight STTN days (M's longest record) we had bad lapse last night. How should I make M repay me: 1. 10 push-ups and 30 sit ups 2. Pour mama wine all day while speaking with a French accent 3. Do his own damn laundry
Agreed with all the lads. Sorry you had a rough night. We've been all over the place lately, too. I don't think it's worth fighting too hard when we will be moving (and shit will be crazy) in less than 2 weeks. Hang in there, mama.
kellrr yes I've also noticed this. She's becoming less hungry for bottles (except the first one) and more for meal time. I think it's normal the closer they get to one.
Today DD decided to get up at 5:45 instead of her normal later wake up. She wouldn't go back to sleep either! Today she's 10 months so decided to do her monthly pic since we were up...she cried through them! Guess I'll be doing it later. Now she's asleep getting her bottle.
Wow! Yayayay! Fx it works out! We are closing next Thursday, but the first weekend we are painting, cleaning (to my standards,) and doing some small repairs, then moving most of our stuff Labor Day weekend.
You are so lucky to not be selling too. We have to close on our house first to use the money for the new house. We close Wednesday and Thursday this week. So tired of packing!!
We are so lucky. I mean, I guess it's part of the excitement of being first-time homebuyers, too. We get to do things at our pace this time. I only wish we'd done it before kids so that aspect would be less nuts, but then again, I don't think we would have picked the same house because we would be dumb childless people who don't know that lots of stairs or rooms on different floors would suck. DH was FINALLY enthusiastic yesterday instead of just bitching about how much money it's going to be and how stressful it will be. It was a refreshing change.
I am just getting into wine. May I ask where the wine place is that you love?
It's Wine by Jennifer in Parkville. The wine store is in an old house and the rooms are each a different wine region. The bottles are a little spendy but the owner and her husband and son were super nice. They do tastings or you can get a glass and sit out on their really pretty patio.
That sounds incredibly awesome! I would suggest it to my husband, but that's MIL territory and he would insist on inviting her... We could really mess with sweetsurprise and send her pics from there on a weekday afternoon since she wanted pics of SAHM drinking during the day last week! Ha ha!
kellrr we decided (by default really) that having one of these pictures in the mix will be funny. And since she was uncooperative when I tried later it'll have to do.

Yes I agree with all of this . I'm getting a little sad to be leaving our first home. We brought our dogs home to this house, both kids to this house.
I agree with you it is easier to buy pre kids but you are kid dumb. Our current house is not kid friendly and we had no idea when we bought.

I'd probably do all of the above, but add the dishes too.

Agree with the kid-dumb part. We bought a 2 bed 1 bath 860 sq foot home before getting married. Its ok for one kid but DD2 is still in our room and Im so ready to kick her out.
Im going to try putting both girls in a room together. I though about trying to squeeze her pack n play in DD1s room now to see how it works or maybe just wait until our new house? Im just so afraid of all the change that will happen at once for the girls- not to mention maybe still having to stay with family a week or two untill we can move in our new house. All of our routine is about to fly out the window and Im dreading it.

This weekend has been insane! H and I stayed the night at my step brothers last night after his party. There was lots of booze! Sorry I missed you lads on the drinking thread! My Bro and his SO had their baby this afternoon, 3 lbs 12 oz. 8 weeks early. Mom and baby are good, baby is in steroids to develop his lungs. I can't believe he is here already.
Tonight I pack and have an overnighter in PA for work tomorrow. I just need a nap!

Glad you had fun last night. T&Ps for mom and baby! That would be hard even if things were going pretty well. I don't envy your business trip, but you know who is in PA? staryb!!!
MrsTinMKE I'm glad that mom and baby are both doing well. Continued thoughts that they keep getting better and can go home as soon as possible.
Hope your work trip is good. You should totally meet up with staryb
I wish I had time! We are in an out and I am stuck with my team :/ really hoping for an early bed time. Fingers crossed. I woke up looking forward to bed time. Sad
Oh boo, MrsTinMKE is going to be a good 4-5 hours east of me anyway. A meet up would have been great, we would have had all of the ice cold wine together lol
Oh well, hope the trip goes well and you manage to get some sleep lady!
