DH has another random day off. I think we're going to have family fun day. Not sure yet what we'll do. It's 55 degrees here this morning. Good thing I got some warmer clothes for dd recently.
I have had the morning from hell. That is all. Thank God for daycare.
Sorry your morning has sucked too. Work called this morning at 6 because they had a call off. By the time I could call my dad to see if he could watch A they had already filled the spot at work. FFMC I was disappointed.

Everyone sounds like they are having a great day already...go Monday right?
This is my last week before I officially go back to work and DD starts daycare. I'm trying to go to the zoo today or tomorrow but I also have a bunch of adult stuff that needs done before I go back. We're still cleaning and decluttering so now we have a bunch of boxed up stuff to take to GMIL's basement. We also have to get the car inspected this week and I already know it needs new tires and breaks so that's going too be expensive. But hey, with me working more for the first time in almost a year it'll feel like pocket change, right lol
I woke up extra early this morning and asked DH to do day care drop off because it's the first day of school and I wanted to avoid traffic. Everything went smoothly (almost too smoothly) and I left the house at 6:30am. I was almost to the highway 15 minutes later when DH called and asked where the infant car seat was. Guess what? It was attached to the base in the back seat of my car! We usually take it out but it's been getting really heavy with DS2 and last night, I just took him out of it because I usually do drop off in the mornings.
I had to turn around and go back home. Luckily I still avoided most of the traffic but I got to work 30 minutes later than I would have without the detour.

Glad you still avoided most of the traffic but yeah, that sucks. Hope you have a good first day otherwise!!
staryb - what's the status on your wall that needed fixing? Don't know if I missed it?
Also, the is the last week before dd starts daycare too. I don't start work until the 14th, but she'll start part time next week. I'm trying to cram in as much fun as we can.
Wow. This is bad in here. But good to see applegrape!! And ss265! We had 45 minutes of hell last night, so today seems fantastic by comparison. DS woke up fussing around 10, and when DH hadn't gotten him back to sleep after 5 minutes and the screaming was escalating, I went to check on them. I still don't know what was going on, but I suspect gas because DS passed a few monster farts, but didn't calm right away after. He was writhing around, flinging himself out of my arms, crying like I a had never heard. It was awful. I asked DH to get Tylenol since he was clearly in some kind of pain, and DH brought the dose for a baby 6-11 lbs. So then I had to redo it, by which time DS was just absolutely hysterical. We finally calmed him by just continuing to rub his back with all three of us lying in the bed. After that, he slept great. So, yay? Just got back from my run and having breakfast. I have a really busy week, and I'm feeling like today is the only day I have control over.

jenn I am so in love with you and your sleepy animal gifs.
Thanks for all the support, lads. I ended up being an hour late to work, had to help my stressed out H find his keys on his first day back at school and had a screaming babe with terrible separation anxiety to deal with after a night with multiple wake ups. ajh1230 I am on the same page as you about work. I would pay to be here rather than continue my crazy morning.
jellykat2 enjoy your day with H! Keep us posted on what y'all do. I'm so jealous of your weather.

Maintenance is taking their sweet time on our wall issue unfortunately. We've had a dehumidifier running and the mold is pretty much cleaned up but I have no idea when/if the wall will actually get fixed. I think they're trying to blow off the real issue here, like they said they were going to scrape and paint the bubbling wall (now walls!) and have our carpet cleaned but they're claiming that there's no leak and it's just moisture from the air conditioning throughout the building. Apparently a lot of people have been having problems this year after some pipes froze last winter. I think they're just trying to avoid the main issue because they don't want to rip the wall apart. Whatever, if the wall eventually caves in that's on them, at least we reported it so they can't blame us.
sweetsurprise and Ajh hope your Monday gets better!!
I am in DC and have a 2 hour drive to work with my coworkers as soon as they land. I saw this and thought of you ladies, has anyone seen this game exploding kittens!? Haha
