Hi swise22! Are you feeling better? Hope work isn't getting you down.
Thanks for asking. It's actually been terrible lately I haven't been on here as much as I would have liked to the last few days because I feel like such a downer right now.
Awww. I'm so sorry! You can always come here and vent. I hope things turn around quickly and in the meantime you have access to lots of wine.

Making myself a total comfort food snack: toasted blueberry pop tart with a glass of milk. That was breakfast of champions in college. And, we have the final walk through tonight before we close tomorrow on the new house!
MrsTinMKE my SIL did and had great success with it.
staryb I'm sorry that this week is so stressful. Hopefully everything gets done before you return to work.
@raeofsunshine1 DD is a donkey napper..I thought naps longer than 20 minutes were an urban legend. Daycare started making her naps later and now she naps for an hour some days...but that's the only one she takes. She's consistent in her need only for an hour. Before it was 3 twenty minute ones haha.
Re sippy cups..Emma does well with the non straw kinds. It surprised me that she could use that bc until recently she wasn't holding her bottle.

I have been off here for a few days and trying to catch up! I've been staying later at work plus being sick is not fun. Somewhere we caught a cold bug. DH seems to be catching it but DS so far only has a runny nose. Today seems better so hopefully I will sleep better tonight! I am a care.com caregiver and have babysit quite a bit for families who found me on the website. My SIL hired a nanny through there as well. I think you just have to know what you are looking for and go with your gut instinct. DS loves water in a sippy cup. He has a few different ones and does well with them. We need a convertible car seat for DS, I am hoping I can put it on his birthday list (my dad would probably buy one) bc I want the Chico next fit. @ajh I didn't realize that Edwards has a west location. I go to the Poplar grove location. Not sure if they look and have different outdoor things? Can't wait for the doughnuts and honey crisp apples!
jellykat2 hope You managed DD ok by yourself tonight! Did you get to pee??
We're both still alive! Woo hoo! She's been a hot clingy mess the past day and a half. And bedtime tonight was again not awesome. But I'm trying to just enjoy the cuddles because I know I'm going to miss the crap out of her when I start work
And speaking of peeing - anyone else's babe starting to notice too much when using the bathroom. I may have to start shaving again.
staryb - sorry you're feeling stressed out. I'm starting to feel the stress of going back to work and all that I want to get done before then. I guess I'm just saying solidarity. I hope you get everything done you need too. And if not, that's okay too!

Thanks, I'm feeling a bit better now. I really feel like a bum for being upset about it at all. DH has been working like 14 hours/day so I'm not about to ask him to do anything when he finally gets home but that means that stuff is just piling up. Literally. Also DD has been tearing the place apart all day but I don't want to let that bother me either considering I won't be spending as much time with her soon. I've got a lot of conflicting emotions over here but I'll get through it.

Damn working getting in the way of pb. I'm just getting to check in sweetsurprise sorry DS was a donkey. Glad you weren't hungover though.
Re: sippy cups. It took 4 different cups to find one that dd like. The one we have now is avent and she loves it!
Re: naps dd is usually a nap donkey. She used to take one am nap around 9 am then an afternoon nap around 2pm. Now she doesn't take her first nap until 11am and if I'mucky another nap around 4pm but it's ugly by bedtime if she misses it.
@irishprincss19 Edwards west is a smaller version of the main branch. They do have some outdoor activities still and a small petting zoo area. I prefer the west location because it's closer to my house and usually less busy.
