I've read several new things lately, but one I just finished that kept me engrossed was called Lilac Girls, by Martha Hall Kelly. Based on real people and events, it links the stories of three women (one American) and their experiences during WWII, and how their lives converged during and after the war. Definitely not a light read, but very well written and researched. I literally could not put it down.
WFFC: I love historical fiction revolving around WWII. That sounds right up my alley.

90% of what I read is historical fiction around WWII
I can't remember if we talked about this, but did you guys read Garden of Stones? It was historical fiction about Japanese Internment camps in California during WWII. It was really good.
But I am mostly just surprised/impressed that LizInFL has been reading several new things with a crazy 3 y/o and a baby. I haven't read at all since Ben was born and I totally miss it.

Haha! My mom makes it super easy on me; she reads a ton and passes me all her books. If it was up to me to hit the bookstore or research new titles, it would never happen.
I'll look for Garden of Stones, sounds interesting!
LizInFL, still impressed - I have about 10 unread books on my bookshelf. Still not reading.
My mom started a tradition when we were little that for Hannukah we got a few "big" gifts, then we always got a book a night. I don't necessarily get 1 book a night anymore but every year she gives me 5 or 6 books, usually I pick a few and she picks a few that she thinks I'll like.
I still have 4 left over from December 2015 plus a bunch I've bought.
But I love the tradition and I'm carrying on to my kids. I hope and pray they love reading as much as I do.
