1. When did/will you start back at work.
January 5th in the office (worked from home PT in December)
2. Aspects of work that have gone well.
I work independently in a private office, so I am able to pump when needed. Close/lock my door and get started. Only a few questions regarding the added noise while on the phone.
3. Challenges or frustrations.
With only one working boob, I make just enough milk between pumping at work and during the night so I don't have any extra in case I have an off day or if she wakes up more than normal during the night.
4. Tips or questions for other working moms
If possible, buy a mini fridge to keep at work to store your pumping supplies and milk. Makes it much easier and private to have it in my office than in the general office fridge. I also second having multiple sets of pumping supplies that need regular washing. I don't stress if I am not able to get them washed every night.
5. Most annoying thing co-workers have said or done related to your return.
Most have been pretty good (small office). However, one doesn't seem to understand that when my door is closed, it means that I am busy and I am not going to open the door for you. He will repeatedly knock until I finally yell out that I am pumping (after already yelling out that I am busy several times). Then, when I see him next, he will act all embarrassed about it.
