Good morning ladies! We were without power for about 5 hours this morning so I'm behind on my coffee consumption. Also trying to explain to a 4 year old why he can't watch cartoons isn't fun. It's extremely rainy and windy today which is a good thing. I'm not sure what we are going to do today. BF has his fantasy draft this evening so I'll be home with the boys by myself for a little bit.
The rain is a good thing. Hopefully it gets some of the fires under control. I have about 45 soldiers helping with the fires in Eastern Washington.
jeniece47 I completely agree about the rain being good. My grandparents are in Walla Walla and were receiving daily evacuation phone calls a couple weeks ago. They had a whole field of unharvested wheat around their house that would have gone up in minutes. A couple firefighters from the city I work in are over there now. It's so scary seeing it like this.
IMO, you could break the lease, but it's risky. You might see if there is a tenant hotline in your area you can call because that law is state-specific. Someone could give you more detailed advice.
What do we think? I'm thinking I like the more blue in the one of the right, but DH thinks it's too dark. I might get a third option that is lighter but more blue.

kellrr being out of coffee just can't happen. I keep a back-up of starbucks iced coffees in the house. jeniece47 my farmers market seeking weekend will have to wait until my stupid foot heals. meagpt22 yay for steps!!! Sounds like you'll have a fun day! applegrape Ikea is crazy! I first went when I was 8 months pregnant with ds1. On a Sunday. Worst idea ever! staryb, that situation sucks so much. If you do end up having to move, I'd make sure you get all you can out of them first. Like the money back for the parts of the home you can't use or money spent on anything to deal with it while living there. But yay for cake!!! sweetsurprise, I LOVE dippin dots! But they're always so expensive. ssfc2014 not having power with young kids is hard! You don't really realize until you don't have it how everything depends on it.
I'm late to the party, again. H let me sleep until 9. He says A was up at 3 and had a bottle, but I didn't even hear him. M is acting up really bad today, not sure if he didn't get enough sleep or what. A is also incredibly fussy, and those together are wearing me down fast. I'm diffusing stress away and peace+calming, so I'm hoping the mood in the household improves. I ate red velvet cake and pretzels with stadium style nacho cheese for lunch. WTF is wrong with me? If I didn't know better, I'd assume I was pregnant. I can't wait to get back to the gym! The doc said I could do the stationary bicycle after a week, but it hurts too much still. I feel like such a bum!

The Denver zoo does have booze! And they serve it starting at like 10 a.m.
But is it like Coors? Colorado folk love Coors. But we are transplants to Colorado, so that doesn't apply to us. :/
I believe it's craft beer? My mom was visiting my brother and his family in June and they went to the zoo. SIL had a beer at 10 am and she is a beer snob- no way would she drink coors or bud.

Guise- my freaking MIL showed up at noon today. WTAF! I thought since DH is gone that she would know not to come over. I finally got rid of her at 3. Going out to dinner with friend and her kid but she doesn't drink. I foresee a box o' wine in my future tonight!

Thanks. Plenty of natural light and white trim but dark cabinets.
I like that one also. You could always do a light backsplash or an accent wall.
Yeah and since you have cabinets to break it up, a dark or bold color won't be as overwhelming. I think kitchens and bathrooms are the best rooms for strong colors.
My H wants to see this too. Let us know how it is.
My brothers said it was really good.
Straight Out of Compton was really good. I would say that you would need to have some interest in how NWA began and the beginnings of Easy E, Dr. Dre, and Ice Cube.
I like the darker blue. Is there plenty of natural light? White trim and/or white cabinets would make it not feel so dark.
I was just going to say that. kellrr our kitchen is a darker blue but the trim is white and there are lots of windows to brighten the room. Our cupboards are brown though.

Agreed..those rooms are more forgiving of bold/darker colors. Also after a couple weeks even the boldest color starts to be less dramatic as you adjust to it.
