Dd was super cute when I picked her up. Of course she cried when she first saw me, but then calmed down pretty quick. She kept giving me kisses. Then when we got home and she's very clearly so excited to be here.
Eating a healthy soup I made for lunch so I can have a burger later. Also, I have 2 dozen cookies in my house and have shown incredible self-control and eaten only 2 today.

I want a burger now too. I really want to go to the grand opening of sonic today but it is probably going to be a nightmare so I think I will skip that.
Just picked DD up from daycare. She was crying when I got there but stopped as soon as she saw me. I'm told she did really well and that she's a very good eater. There was one other baby with her when I got there who is apparently one day older than her. I'm told they will be good friends. Regardless I'm relieved to be home with her now and to have the day off with her tomorrow. I'm so glad I decided to ease into this transition!

staryb donuts always help. sweetsurprise small victories are better than none! I bought a french fry cutter (like an apple slicer) that you press down onto the potato. The upside is that we don't have a fryer so they'll have to be from the oven. raesofsunshine1 I always attempt to do crafty things like that, but they NEVER turn out well. Pinterest has ruined my life.
Alex hasn't figured out clapping yet, but he does cover his face with a blanket to do peek a boo. I'm making homemade pesto for dinner with basil we grew. I loooooooove pesto! However, a cheeseburger does sound amazing.

maggie6424 I haven't made homemade pesto in forever, but you've totally given me the craving! Yum!
I'm not sure it's delicious, but it's done. We didn't have pine nuts, so I just used about 10 pistachios. Plus a clove of garlic, garlic salt and Parmesan. It just tastes very earthy to me.. maybe that's how it's meant to taste!

Yum! You can do pesto so many ways, I seriously don't think there is a wrong way! I once made a pesto from kale, and used it with shrimp on a pasta. It was delicious!
