I've been planning on not going back to work and I am completely ok with it. I don't want to go back with how much the behaviors have escalated and it all being 2:45 to 10:45pm shifts with it being a 30 minute drive. But I can't get myself to call or hit send on an email to my supervisor.
I'm sick and should be sleeping but I can hear a helicopter and other noises outside so I'm awake. I'm also super hungry but don't want to wake dh and ds as ds is sick too and dh said ds sneezed in his eye last night. I really can't have all of us sick if I go into labor!
Hopefully I can fall asleep again if this stupid helicopter would leave!
ShuShuBee To summarize, in order-- 1) mass ban of well-known mods for "violating confidentiality," 2) new "community guidelines" (read: TOU) released, 3) mass ban of parenting and TTGP regs, 4) major up-roar and GBCB'ing, 5) MOAR bans for no reason, 6) just kidding, the guidelines are just guidelines but we'll ban you anyway if you violate them, 7) remaining mods are stripped of power without knowing and are being replaced by "paid" mods, 8) more GBCB'ing, and finally, 9) anyone caught sharing the link to here is immediately banned because, surprise, the "guidelines" are indeed the new TOU to make the place all puppies and rainbows due to bad app reviews.
The plan of XO was to remove the regs of the most traffic heavy boards and replace them with the ideal "puppy and rainbow" posters. The plan backfired when they lost over 6k of the TB user base over the past two weeks and more are coming over. This happened a few years ago on TheNest (along with a few other issues), and it's been dead over there ever since. Boards are coming over here as they realize you can no longer be snarky to the stupid questions, etc.

This mostly went down Jan. 13-17th, so while I was waiting for my induction or wigglet to decide to come, I was eating popcorn watching this shit show go down. It kept me super entertained, to say the least. The bumpies are burning the place to the ground and leaving horrendous reviews of XO wherever they can and of the app on the app stores. It all blew up in their faces. One of the biggest uproars at the very beginning was the unjust banning of NariaDreaming and the parenting mods, mods that are well known across TB and very protective of their boards.

To add... "Hackers" wiped out the posts on Parenting and TTGP when people started posting more about how upset they were, posting links, asking for accounts to be deleted, etc. It also happened to TTCAL after more GBCB posts were made with no apology or explanation.
So yesterday DD screamed from 1 to 4 pm and then DS was mad because I held DD for that amount of time. So today as DD sleeps I made valentines with DS so we had some quality time. Hopefully if DD has another screaming for DS won't be mad at me for holding her to get her to calm down.

@soon2bjp I used *!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*! to resize my picture.
MH's snoring has made pregnancy sleep even harder. I downloaded a white noise app that plays ocean waves and it's been magical. I still wake up a lot to get more comfortable, but have been sleeping so much better.
We swaddled R's arms down at his sides last night so he literally could not get them out (we are mean) but it totally worked! Granted he did frantically try to get them out and scream a couple times but as soon as I gave his soother back he would go back to sleep! I left him in the swaddle to feed him everytime and then he would go back to sleep and part of the night was in his own bed! SUCCESS!!!! I also got at least one 4-hour stretch! We did this with DS1 for four months so I'm not sure why we waited so long to try with R, but we will be continuing this from now on!
This worked for S for a couple nights. Now he's super gassy and spits up a lot. So last night I put him in his bouncer. That worked for 2.5-3 hours. Then I had to let him sleep next to me. That worked for another 2.5-3 hrs.
I have 4 little bears, just like my name says. 2 girls 2 boys ages 8,5,3, and my newest babe. 2 of my little bears have life threatening food allergies, feel free to ask me more about that!
Today is my son's bris. (Jewish ritual circumcision). Given the snow, half the family that was coming in cancelled. I just hope the moel (person who performs it) can get here okay.
littleb92: How'd it go? P's went very well, even though K was concerned it would be traumatic for her. We did Z's baby naming at the same time.

It's a big fucking mess over there. They really did screw themselves over. I'm over here way more than there anymore. It's like a communist regime now

One of my twins had a fever at school yesterday. After they have a fever they can't come back for 24 hours, which, fine I totally get that. However they told my husband it was a low grade fever and did not say we had to keep him home. When I checked him one hour later it was 98.3. I asked DH if we had to keep him home (assuming, dumbly, that he had asked) and he said no. So my mom took two boys to school and brought one home. A kid who, today, is perfectly healthy. And full of energy. I am not full of energy.

I noticed yesterday that LO has some mild diaper rash and I feel terrible... I think I was so concerned with projectile pee and poo during changes that I was rushing to put on a new diaper before his little bum was totally dry. So now I'm using desitin and actually blowing on his butt crack to make sure he's dry before a new diaper goes on. He's not a huge fan, and I feel like at any given moment I'm going to get a shart to the face, but it's all for a good cause.
Tired but can't seem to actually nap when she does. Night 3 at home was last night, it keeps getting better little by little. She likes to sleep all day and eat all night. Almost back to birth weight. Pedi said the cluster night feedings usually calm then until the next growth spurt.

Blowing on his butt crack?!
DS2 peed and pooped during a diaper change yesterday. It was like chocolate soft-serve ice cream coming out after I wiped him and then a pee fountain that got on me and his face. So I definitely am quick to put on the new diaper now. Sorry your DS has diaper rash!

It was wonderful. The moel did a beautiful ceremony but of course I cried when the actual circ happened. L didn't even cry. I am now concerned about taking care of it, but that's another story.
Also tried out the NuRoo a bit today. She feels secure in it. I think it is more of an at home carrier than out & about. DS1 flipped out when I was going to use "his" ring sling for her yesterday. So I ended up wearing him while I cooked instead. I have a couple other carriers to try too.

@littleb82 I was nervous taking care of LO's circ at first - on our way home from the hospital he had a massive poo that got all over his gauze. Not fun. But it's really not that bad and you'll quickly turn into a Vaseline-ing pro. Just have a towel or something nearby to wipe your fingers on after diaper changes. Good luck!
Those who circ'd-- I know I should probably just call the pedi, but with everything closed due to the weather, I'm hoping my fellow emu hen doctors can clue me in. How do I know when his circ has fully healed? We went to the pedi on Friday and she said it was healing really well. My OB did it and said it would take 5-7 days to heal with the method he used, that it would just look raw for a few days. We're at day 7 now and it *looks* healed to us, but how do we know for certain?

I'm trying to remember ds1's, his was a traditional circ. But I think if it looks healed, it probably is. S got a plastibell circ, so that was really obvious when it healed. The plastic ring feel right off. No scabbing, bleeding or anything.

@happywigglecmb for DS2 and DS3 I've gone by if it looks healed it must be healed. I still pull the extra skin down every once in a while just to make sure it doesn't grow back. You're more than likely good to go..

I went on a short walk alone with LO in the boba wrap. I only went a mile since its like 75 degrees here and I felt like it was getting pretty warm for him all wrapped up in there. Felt good to get outside.

DS didn’t nap today I tried to do “quiet time”, which kind of worked…He was making a lot of noise (throwing books) so I went up to remind him it’s “quiet” time, but he had a poop, so thankfully I was there to change him. I told him he could play, quietly, with his bedroom toys - the stacking blocks and his Thomas flashlight. He seemed happy with the flashlight. I went back downstairs, he was still making noise (though not as much), and when I went back up - no pants, no diaper. “Diaper garbage!” Yup, way to go kid. No pee anywhere, so yay?, and I brought up a couple more quiet toys (dinosaurs and etch-a-sketch boards). We put the books back on the shelf, and that was the end of that.

DS had the plastibell as well. The plastic ring fell off before his umbilical cord did, actually.

My child is the noisiest sleeper ever. She constantly makes noises like she is really waking up, but after I run upstairs to check on her she is still fast asleep. I'm kind of kicking myself for not investing in a video monitor for her. I really didn't think I would need it.

As for XO I don't think they care about people leaving TB. They certainly didn't care when people left TN. There was a discussion about it on GBCN and apparently the message boards are not how they really generate revenue anyway and at the end of the day I'm sure that is what matters most. Why they care about snark in the first place is what I've been wondering. Either way, I'm just happy that a non-FB community continues to exist.
Thank you everyone for the thoughts. This is by far the most painful thing I have been through in a long time. I had no idea that it would be this painful....omg. Thank goodness for my mom and husband. We are on our way back to my parents to stay the night again. I can't wait to kiss my baby and go to sleep.
Those who circumcised, with my son we were asked to pull the skin back for almost the first year so that the skin didn't start to adhere to the sides again (I hope that makes sense).
Lillian's appt went well! She's up 3 lbs from when she was released from the hospital and her growth chart curves look great. She makes her momma proud!
We were never told to pull the skin back. My OB gave the process he uses a specific name but I don't remember it. He just said that it would be over and done and there's nothing else we'd need to do once healed
Does anybody else's babies get baby acne? DS1 had it when he was a week or two old and now DS2 has it! I know it's caused by hormonal changes but I kind of wish he had the perfect baby skin because it's hard to get pictures where it doesn't stand out. Maybe I just haven't seen other people's babies at the same age but it seems like it's only my little dudes that get it.
