Does anybody else's babies get baby acne? DS1 had it when he was a week or two old and now DS2 has it! I know it's caused by hormonal changes but I kind of wish he had the perfect baby skin because it's hard to get pictures where it doesn't stand out. Maybe I just haven't seen other people's babies at the same age but it seems like it's only my little dudes that get it.

Hello ladies! Well we are thinking today is the day! Contractions for lat 7 hours now spaced 3-5 minutes apart for a minute a piece. Bloody show, bowel funness... Going to eat a snack and then probably head out. Self hypnosis is keeping me super calm and relaxed however not discomfort free, but I am happily managing it. Hope to say we have an outside baby by the end of the day!
I laid down for a nap with FI while wigglet was napping. I felt one of those stupid phantom kicks, and it made me feel super lonely and sad that I no longer have a baby inside bruising me up with his kicks and punches, as much as I didn't like them at the time. I miss them and his rolling and partying
littleb92: How'd it go? P's went very well, even though K was concerned it would be traumatic for her. We did Z's baby naming at the same time.
It was wonderful. The moel did a beautiful ceremony but of course I cried when the actual circ happened. L didn't even cry. I am now concerned about taking care of it, but that's another story.
So glad it went well. Did the Mohel tell you how to care for it? I was worried but it wasn't really that bad.

She did. She was wonderful, actually she's an OB so it made me feel that much better.
Serious question: I'm not going to have "sex" but I was wondering if having an orgasm would be painful considering that my ute was stitched back together less than 3 weeks ago?

Good afternoon!
Well it's been a roller coaster of a week. Henry is back in the pIcu due to a bloody stool on Friday. I got that phone call on the way to my grandpa's funeral. Henry is doing better and we hope to move to the recovery floor again tomorrow.
I've requested from my mom a chai tea latte and a peanut butter and strawberry jam sandwich tomorrow.
Now time to look into my profile and change to a non generic photo.

I'm not sure if it'll be painful but I'm pretty sure the main reason behind the no sex rule is to prevent infection. So on that front you should be ok.

An open letter to my DS: I'm not a four star chef, but I'm a pretty damn good cook. That spaghetti and meatballs I made for dinner is delicious. I know - I'm eating it too. No, you cannot have more pear - we had that for snack. No, you cannot have Kraft dinner - we had that at lunch. No, you cannot get down and fake screamy crying isn't going to make me change my mind, it's going to make me passively-aggressively angry. When you throw a tantrum and hit your head on the tile floor, I am sorry you hurt yourself, but it was your own fault. I will keep repeating the no-nap toddler mantra in my mind: you are like this because you are overtired, you are like this because you are overtired...WHEN YOU DON'T NAP, YOU ARE A MESS!! Please nap tomorrow. Please. Love, Mommy P.S. - DH, if you're reading this, please buy wine on the way home.

Love tit on the wine part. Totally feel you on the no naps though. Crabby 3 and 18 month old here plus dealing with 6 week growth spurt.

shannjohnston I feel like we have the same kid. I had to wrestle DS to sleep again for his nap. Why do they hate naps? I would pay good money to get a nap every day. At least we only took 30 minutes of wrestling today. I just don't like when he doesn't nap. He also rejected the dinner I made him, but I'm too scared to let him skip a meal, because I don't want him waking up in the middle of the night crazy. He gets a cheese stick most nights.

Oh, I made him eat. He had more than half his spaghetti after I forced the first bite on him (and he realized it wasn't poison), and finished off with one bite of a meatball too. I just hate the struggle. Every. Single. Night.

Ugh. DH gets home during bath time. He grabs his dinner and comes to help me out. Awesome. DS sees him eating - and now wants more meatballs!! Are you freakin kidding me?!? Thankfully, DH also brought home wine. Excuse me while I finish this glass...
Thank you everyone for the thoughts. This is by far the most painful thing I have been through in a long time. I had no idea that it would be this painful....omg. Thank goodness for my mom and husband. We are on our way back to my parents to stay the night again. I can't wait to kiss my baby and go to sleep.
Yuck, I'm so sorry papapalie. I hope your recovery goes quickly, and your pain meds work really well!
I have 4 little bears, just like my name says. 2 girls 2 boys ages 8,5,3, and my newest babe. 2 of my little bears have life threatening food allergies, feel free to ask me more about that!
I saw a lot of comments before that BFing makes people super hungry... somehow that's not working out for me. I'm never hungry but I know I need to make myself eat some healthy foods for baby girl.

shehulk723 this was me with my DD. I wasn't hungry and barely ate much but made sure to stay up on my water intake. This time around I'm starving all the time!
papapalie I hope you start feeling better soon. I was back to normal around day 3 after my surgery. Hoping for a speedy recovery for you and don't feel bad if you need to ask for a lot of help for a little while.
We were never told to pull the skin back. My OB gave the process he uses a specific name but I don't remember it. He just said that it would be over and done and there's nothing else we'd need to do once healed
Maybe ask the pedi at the next appointment. That was who gave me the instructions to pull back and clean. At that point my son already had a small adhesion. No one had told me previously though. I felt terrible.

Thank you. Today was rough yet again. Healing from childbirth and surgery is not ideal. I still can't really stand up straight or move very well. my pain meds don't really seem to help quite as much as I was hoping. I hope you're right and tomorrow will be better
