One of DH'S friends posted on my photo of LO that there is more to life than my LO. That when he has kids he will delete FB so he doesn't annoy people. DH posted the first pic of him and LO ever today. He never posts anything on fb. I don't get this guy's deal
Fuck that guy.
I'm sorry, I do not care how many photo's I post of my beautiful son, I love him and I'm excited to be his mom. Plus he is my first, so I'm extra over the moon about being a mom (I know I'm probably that mom, I try to limit it to a 1 or 2 a week haha) If people don't want to see pictures, then don't pause to look at them, just like anything you don't want to see on FB. And, you can "unfollow" people so you don't see their posts without actually defriending them if you're tired of certain posts--I usually do this with extreme political ones that are just over the top.
What a rude thing to post on a picture of your LO!
I know, I am the same way. He has been unfriended. I don't know why he would post such a thing.

A co-worker texted asking me to call her because of some happenings going on at work that she knows I'll want to hear about. Part of me is curious to know but more of me wants to eye roll. She called my teaching partner so much on her maternity leave that my teaching partner stopped answering the phone or returning phone calls. She made things into way bigger deals than they were and tends to get over excited about things that are not that big of a deal. With less than a week left of my maternity leave, I really thought I had managed to escape the crazy.
zengal I've got a peanut baby. She's only in the 18th percentile and just broke 10 lbs at her two month appointment. We're still rocking a lot of 0-3 clothing.
songbirdsinging55 That "friend" is a douche canoe. Glad you don't have to see him in your feed anymore.
Interviewed a young woman today to help take care of LO during my WFH days for the next few months. She was fine... I'm not thrilled with her, but it's hard to find someone who will work for one day a week for a few hours. I'm hoping she was just shy and will get more comfortable as time passes. I'm not super worried about her capabilities since I'll be in the apartment, but it's making the "go back to work" thing get pretty real! Some days I'm thrilled and then days like this I'm sad. Oh well.
zengal Joseph on the adjusted preemie chart was under 25% for each visit except for 4 months. He's a tall little guy and got in the 40<50 %ile for length but the rest are hovering at 25%.

Once I get back to the salon, DH will need a bit of help while he works from home. We are using his sister because it really is only 3 hours or so. She is 15, I'm not too comfortable with this, but DH will be there. We are going to do a practice run while I'm home the week before I start so she knows the basics with him. Do you have a college near by? My other option was going to be advertising to the college in our town to see if anyone wants a little extra money.

Yeah, I've looked to see what the local university job boards look like. This girl is in nursing school and volunteers at the local NICU on Wednesdays. I'm hoping she's just very shy and we'll find a good groove.
The rest of the week my sister will be helping out while she job hunts. It's hard not to be nervous even with siblings!
I'm lol at this sleep convo. I've gotten 5 nights total of more than 3 hours at a time. My LO is 12 weeks. Send some of your sleep mojo my way.
I'm With you, I have had a 4 hour stretch two times but for the most part every 2.5-3 hours sometimes every two and my lo is almost 10 weeks! I Would love a 5 hour stretch!
Having a girl is killing my checkbook. I'm seriously addicted to shopping for clothes for her. Gap is having a sale 50% off sale items with the code SAVE - FYI.
LO loves her thumb/hand/fingers/fist too - she's always going to town on it. I try to redirect to the wubbanub as much as I can.
songbirdsinging55 how freaking rude!!! Glad you unfriended. There is no need for such hostility! I'm sure there are ppl that get annoyed with my pics, but they can delete me! I started a photo stream on my iPhone and share it with close friends and family and post a picture a day! I love that I can easily share pictures with everyone one time while not having to post a ton on fb/insta!

Another friend mentioned this program called 23 snaps that is an app and a website. I am going to check it out.

Re H taking care of baby. Friday night and Sunday morning all three of us went to church. So we've got baby in carseat, blanket, diaper bag, purse, coats, gloves, the K'tan, Bibles, my water, and keys. I throw the bags and carriers over my arm, blanket, car seat and water on the other arm/hand, then use my free hand to grab my keys. H looks at me and goes "oh, I was going to help you with that." I just laughed and said that I'm used to getting us both out the door. Repeat this scene coming home on Friday... and going to church on Sunday! By the time we got home on Sunday H said "you are amazing, getting him and all this stuff out of the house." It was awesome to have him see that my job is challenging too, and to say I'm amazing for it.
M is still in 0-3 month clothes... for right now. Certain smaller ones aren't fitting him and last night I pulled a onesie out of his 3-6 mos drawer for bed. We moved him out of newborn clothes at 6 days old and I was surprised he was in them at all, so this is the first emotional size change for me. He was 12 lbs 4.5 oz and 24.5 inches long today.
kfo22 - oh gosh. I thought having a month to move while I was pregnant was bad! You can do it!
Surviving the big snow storm.. I'd estimate about 20 inches.. Maybe a bit more.
Good luck with the snow! We got 27" a few years ago and it was HORRIBLE. It took several days for them to get all the snow pushed off the roads. Try to hibernate if you can!!
DH said to me last night that he was so tired he felt like he was drunk or high.
Sadly, I knew exactly what he was talking about.....that seems to be the norm for me nowadays!
Went to babies r us this past weekend and was seriously disappointed in the boys clothes selection. Why is there 4x as many girl clothes as boys?
this always drives me insane! it's not fair.
You could always look at it as a way to save you money. I know I can restrain myself when buying for DS, but with the girls I go a little crazy with all the adorable clothes. If I had all boys, I'm sure I would have spent a lot less money over the last few years.

Poop watch has officially ended!! Lo had a major blowout (while sitting on my lap). His diaper was no match for the 3 day back up! It blew out in every direction imaginable. His entire outfit (as well as mine) were obvious casualties. After using what seemed like half a container of wipes, Just to get him clean enough to pick up, Into the bath he went. He's gone twice more but no more blowouts. I was going to take him out in the ergo & walk the dog but I'm a little afraid to leave the house.

My little guy is quickly outgrowing his six month clothes and he has only been in the for a couple of weeks! This makes me incredibly sad and I'm hoping he slows down soon. He is now over 16 pounds at 9 weeks. My MIL keeps telling me I need to make him wait 4 hours btw feedings...um he is ebf and would scream his head off so no thank you!
I sent H to the store for 2 cases of water and salad dressing. Comes home with $50 worth of shit that doesn't even pair with the groceries I already have or meals I planned on. Just more crap in the pantry that I have to find a way to utilize. Dude. At least come home with some damn cookies or something.
