packmomma I am sorry you're dealing with that first of all, tell your mother to clean if it bothers her so much. I highly doubt Walt is going to jump up in the night and explore the house, so I'm pretty sure he's perfectly fine. So I say hell no to cleaning for her appeasement. Also, what is up with people's mothers passive aggressively talking shit to a baby? Your H should have been awake with you today. I would not have let him sleep all day & night when you're feeling overwhelmed.

The cluster feeding sucks. I think most of us on here have dealt with it at one time or another. I have no advice but it will end eventually! Baby loves you, even if the endless nursing seems like a method of torture. As for the diaper rash, we use aveeno diaper cream with E & it works really well. I've seen triple paste & desitin recommended by ladies here too. Maybe try some time without the diaper on as well if you can... the air will help.

packmomma no advice on mom issues but for diaper rash make sure W butt is dry before putting on cream and diaper. This makes a huge difference.

packmomma your Mom is an asshole and needs to be told to hush. Sorry you're having to deal with that. On the diaper rash topic. I've haven't seen anyone suggest Boudreaux's. We use it and LOVE it. If you use the max strength version it will be cleared up in a jiffy! I've also heard good things about Aveeno.

I've had good luck with corn starch, if you're cloth diapering.

My poor DD1 is definitely not adjusting well. I'm usually the one that gets her ready in the morning and she was throwing a fit this morning because she did not want daddy getting her dressed. I was none too happy about being woken up for something she can pretty much do herself. I know she doesn't understand, but it's frustrating for DH, me and her. Luckily, DS doesn't seem to be as displaced by the new baby.

Thanks amberlie. H is the sole bread winner so I had agreed to let him sleep in (didn't realize how late though and I definitely didn't know he was going to go right back to sleep). I did end up waking him up around 4am when I was desperate for some help and he thankfully stepped in and I got an hour a half of sleep.
We've been dealing with cluster feedings for about a week now as well as a bad latch so it's all just very painful. I have a call.into an LC though and should get some help this week.

I did tell my mom that the passive aggressive comments to my son were very subtle and she stopped for a little bit but it didn't stick.
