I feel that each day I am up earlier than the day before. Mostly from nausea and sneezing. I have allergies now? So weird! We celebrated the results with shopping for girly baby clothes. Yesterday DH said that I should take up a hobby so I can have some me time. I have decided to take a sewing class. So that I can make Christmas gifts and cute clothes. Maybe we can start a craft corner or something? Any other ladies who craft?
I think me time sounds like a great idea songbird! Good job mr songbird I'm not a crafter.. My me time is more shopping, drinking, and massages lol maybe I should pick up a real hobby

My craftiness is reserved entirely for the kitchen and baking. I love to bake, but DH doesn't love for me to bake because it means he eats everything. Either way, I'm with zengal, massages and running sound like legit me time activities. But kudos to Mr. songbirdsinging55 for encouraging me time.
songbirdsinging55, I barter with my massage therapists (One works in my salon and the other is a friend) I do their hair, they do my body haha
So... my baby fever is THROUGH THE ROOF. H is also on board. We aren't preventing right now, but I'm not charting and we aren't necessarily going for it during ovulation right now. We are trying to figure out this house situation first.
We have a three bed one bath house but its like 800 or less sq ft. I found a really really awesome house. It's a flip but a little over the price range that we want to spend. I think it's over priced (I used to be a realtor) so I think it might sit for a while. We are trying to see if we can swing it. Otherwise, still searching.

Artsy question or I guess opinions just needed. Does the E look weird? Should I fill in all of the background Blue? It's weird right? Something is off.

jjh1119 - That is pretty exciting!! Good luck. I miss being pregnant, DH would totally not be opposed to baby #2, problem is MAKING baby #2. Step 1 ... get LO to sleep in his own bed.
House hunting actually sounds fun to me. I like to look at zillow and see what is available in our area.
Question, I realize it is only September 9th, but I'm wondering if anyone else has thought about a Halloween costume for LO? My sister and I are talking about making our LO's costumes. Right now we're thinking about making a Batman (Nephew) and Robin (LO) costume and I'm kind of excited about it. We're dorks, I know! Also I've succumbed to the idea of throwing LO a birthday party. DH and I keep joking that we'll have ponies there ... pony kegs!! Anyone else toying with these thoughts. Our cherubs are going to be ONE in 2 months ... I'm not ready!!! Ahhhh!!
Songbird- I think it's cute. I actually like the background like that. Maybe it's just the flower color is a bit similar to the lettering? Making the E seem strange to you? In the photo it looks cute though
Ninergirl- luckily Liam has a decent stretch in the first part of the night so it doesn't affect making the baby. I'm constantly wondering what the heck we will do if we have TWO bad sleepers who need to be in bed. How do we separate the baby? I guess a co sleeper attached to the bed will help.
Halloween costume- carters has a 60% off sale today. Getting Liam the monkey and the glow in the dark skeleton pjs.
Birthday party- I've got a vague theme (which will consist of basically the cake... And maybe I'll decorate his high chair lol) and we already know we are ordering some catering from that amazing restaurant that I think is the new family favorite.

Thanks for the heads up on Carter's JJH!! Maybe I'll go check that out. I think we're going to have a loosely themed party around football, since we're throwing it on a Sunday. We have DirectTv with the NFL package so all guests should be happy they won't miss their teams games. Our immediate/local family alone is 14 adults and 8 kids. Sooo we figured we might as well throw a party. We host a lot of football games during the season, so it will just be like one of our Sunday game parties, except LO will smash a cake in the middle of it. I would however, like to avoid the whole sitting around and opening gifts part. Is there a polite way to do that? I've thought of telling people no gifts but realize my family will ignore that.
Ninergirl- I'm not one to follow tradition just because others have. I think just let the day go on, not mention gifts won't be open during the party and people may not even notice! They're gonna be 1, like they're not going to open it all all the way anyway.
My family is huge too, so it's just going to be family and our two closest friends but that will still be like 40 people

I'm kind of excited about the cake smash portion, but only because I'm going to bake his (little) cake and I find watching him eat highly entertaining. But I agree, do what you want. Cake smash, no cake smash, open gifts, don't open gifts. I like where your head is at. It's really just an excuse to eat, drink and be merry right? Pat ourselves on the backs as parents for pulling this parenting thing off for at least a year.
I'm just a health nut who has a mega sweet tooth that doesn't quit and I want to try to control his junk food a tiny bit longer (till school starts if possible- in hopes that he is so used to healthy stuff that the real stuff will taste gross to him).
The cake smash itself is too cute, so just trying to figure a way to involve it without a pukey over sugared kid at the end of the day (every baby I have seen has gotten sick from a cake smash) I also have no doubt he would try to eat the whole thing so like small cake/large cupcake size
But yeah, they're our kids, which means we can basically do whatever we want.

I hear ya on the sweet tooth thing. I have one too. That's part of the reason I'm making LO's cake. I'm leaning towards making an angel food cake, as they are lighter and a bit less sugary, along with a homemade whipped cream in which I'll cut the sugar.
The greatest part of Halloween is getting to eat their candy for the next couple of years and then eat MOST of their candy for the following couple of years
Ugh. We're in a heat wave and it was 80-something degrees in our house last night. We live in an area that doesn't have AC due to our climate.
Baby was too hot to settle down last night. She woke at 3am and took a full feed. Then again at 6am. MH brought her back to bed with us. I woke up with her snuggled up to my arm. Cute, but too hot.
I'm thinking what about banana bread muffin disguised as cake??
I feel ya on the heatwave gldnbearz. It's been over 90 the last two days. Luckily we do have ac upstairs but it has been brutal during the day. Our summers are not typically this hot. Especially in September. It won't be too hard to hold off on boots if the weather keeps up like this

For his birthday we are having a farm theme because of his obsession with chickens and eggs. We will have my family and a few of his playmate buddies. Very kid friendly. Isaac loves big gamy events and people so we think a bash will be awesome.
Waving hello from crazyville! I'm not sure what we will do yet but I want to do a cake smash of some sort. Lo's dairy allergy makes it more interesting but I'm leaning towards doing zucchini brownies that are dairy free and semi healthy (applesauce instead of oil etc) but that's dependent on finding zucchini in November.
Baby fever: while I really want more kids some day I cannot imagine adding another baby to the craziness of our lives at the moment! I'm thinking when li is 2.5-3 might be better. He still nurses all night because he won't drink milk while I work.
Next week he is doing 2 days with our nanny and 3 at the new daycare and then going full time to the new center the following week. I'm actually looking forward to it because it will be so much less juggling for me. Our nanny has been laying on a guilt trip about how worried she is about lo adjusting and how hard it will be for him and how she hopes I don't regret working later on because he is only little once...cue mom guilt and feeling like a terrible mom because I have to work and am changing lo's routine for my own convenience :-(
Lo has been freaking out when I try to get up after he is asleep at night resulting in me falling asleep with him and the getting up to finish my work and get stuff ready for the next day around 1:00AM last night I was up from 1:00-3:00 and back up at 6:00 for the day. Hoping for a better night tonight.

songbirdsinging55 I craft. I have a room dedicated to sewing, paper (Scrapbooks, cards, &invites) plus what ever else I'm willing to try.
So DH had his first 1.5 dozen cookies eaten before his first period started today. Talk about no will power
@ninetgirl52 DD is an elephant this year, I borrowed it from a friend. She'll have a bow on her ear. We won't actually take her trick or treating but rather just stop by the grandparents and great grandma's so I didn't want to buy a costume.
DD is having an under the sea birthday bash. I have 30 invites to make. My family is freaking huge. DH's family and friends cover 6 of those 30. Thankfully most of my family is out of state and won't drive in for it.
I'll make her smash cake for sure. I have ordered all my purple, turquoise, Aqua paper for invites, banners, and high chair banner. I'm still working on a plan for my cupcake tower.
I was anti big party but DH talked me into it and gave me a budget to get my Pinterest on.
spikesmom, That's pretty crappy of your nanny to do that. I'm sure she is great with Max, but she certainly put you in a pickle for this adjustment period. I'm glad you're warming up to the daycare center.
I told H that I just can't do all the work that has been piling up by myself without some help. The daycare I want to put him in doesn't have a spot until January. I feel like I can't juggle that long. In the last 3 weeks he has been home for 3 days, maybe 4. I'm in charge when his employees can't get in touch with him and quite frankly I still know nothing about engineering and I have to delegate and make decisions based on the very limited knowledge I have. I'm just supposed to be the A/P, but he expects so much more but is also fully aware of how hard it is to work when Liam is awake.
I have a good solid 2 hours of naptime where I have to work and then after he goes to bed I clean. I also cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner when he is home. That doesn't leave much time to work.
