LO has started racing across the room with her walker. She is SO proud and excited and waits for applause every time. It's so cute I almost cry. I swear I never used to be like that.

We had our one year photos yesterday. DS was like "oh you want me to smile and be happy? Okay, I will just put on my best I don't care face" He didn't care for the cake again this time either. Tears galore. How is it possible that this kid is my mini me and doesn't like cake?!

Wednesday we had our one year appointment and apparently the measured DS wrong at his 9 month appt. or he just shrank.

Your mistake was booking your one year photos the day after your one year shots.

Your mistake was booking your one year photos the day after your one year shots.

I hope that is the case and he actually likes cake. I book the dr's so far in advance I didn't realize they were the same week until the beginning of September.

In better news, LO is still sleeping and I just had a nice hot shower. When he wakes up we have to do an errand for my MIL that will take us right by Dunkin!
Tonight is my school's first home football game so I am hoping we make it to the first half at least! And this is the first weekend in over a month we have nothing planned...I am so happy!

DD woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Jeepers, crabby.

I have a friend coming over this morning. She has a son DS's age and his is best bud. We are also going to make apple crisp for our church's women's ministry kick off Sunday night. Neither of us have ever made it before, which surprised the lady who asked us.

I like chocolate desserts and so does my family, so yeah....

Do any of you request a spaced out vaccine schedule? My friend only lets her DS get 2 at a time and they just go in more often. I think she does this in lieu of like 1 shot with multiple things mixed into it.
I feel kind of bad because this never crossed my mind. Just curious if she is the only one.

We just received our order yesterday, and I had ordered some wallet size ones. I'm just wondering if I wait until Christmas and include it in the card or just randomly send people a picture like "Here's my kid, she's 1 now".

I've been sending pictures (3, 6, 9 months) to grandparents, great grandparents, our siblings. But that's only like 6 sets to send out. My sister always gave pictures to me of our nephews at each photo shoot and I always thought that was fun.

I have a friend that did this. I asked my pedi about it before the first round at 2 months. He said we could, if we wanted, but then they're getting this never ending cycle of shots, it seems. Plus, I say just get it over with. Rip off the band-aid.

I'm so tired of seeing the post go around about the schools needing to be closed today or students needing to be "armed" because they're going to be attacked by the black panthers. That is the craziest thing I have ever heard. I know many people that kept their children out of school today. I hate to say it but if any attack is going to happen by anyone, I don't think they would really broadcast it?
