1. I'm back to work now. Yesterday was my first day back 2. My new wake up time is 5, to get both kids up and out the door by 7:30. 3. Today DS thought we should get up at 4:30. It's going to be a long day 4. As much as I would like to stay home with my kids, I'm glad to be back at work. I was just lazy on maternity leave 5. My parents are supposed to close on the house across the street this Friday! Fingers crossed they do. There's some hold up with their money 6. I'm so excited at the thought of them being so close. I moved to Dallas (8 hrs from my parents) when I was 17..14 years ago! So the thought of having them so close is awesome 7. I got some awesome deals on some baby gap clothes for LO at a second hand shop. I sold them my maternity clothes and came out having broke even. That always makes me feel awesome 8. DD and I had a stand off last night over putting on her shirt. It was about a 30 minute tantrum but in the end, she did it 9. My boss apparently wants to take half my duties and give them to someone else. I hate this idea. It will leave my days half full and then they just go by so slowly 10. I'm pretty sure my officemate is to blame. While I was on leave, she asked for a raise bc she was doing so much. Boss said no but is trying to take some tasks off of her. I'm not sure he realizes the things he's suggesting are actually my daily duties
carli I hope your day goes by quickly! 4:30am is just too early to start the day.
1. I am officially halfway thru pregnancy, which is awesome and scary at the same time! We really need to start getting ready for baby boy soon. I definetly am feeling that second child pregnancy "theory" you always hear people talk about where things aren't as orderly and organized and more go with the flow.
2. We put an offer in on a house over the weekend which was accepted and we have a home inspection on it this morning.
3. DH has started having huge second thoughts in this house and has talked seriously about backing out of the deal . The upstairs bathroom floor is uneven (we believe from the bathtub leaking), there's only 1 closet in the master bedroom (yes, he's worried about this surprisingly), there are very small power lines running behind our decent size backyard, and it's in our airport's runway flight path. These are all the things he's worried about. So much is riding on us buying this house because ours is already sold.
4. DD is doing so great potty training. We've only had a handful of accidents since we started last Tuesday and will even hold it during nap time and on most outings (we still put her in pull ups for those but they are almost always dry). I really can not believe how well she has taken to this and think she was just ready. I'm SO proud of her .
5. I'm looking forward to the money savings on diapers and wipes over the next 5 months!
6. I feel like I sound like a horrible person when I complain about DH's uncertainty with this potential house, it is a great house and has almost everything we want but in reality I am concerned about the flight path (although our current house is in the path of the airport's secondary runway and it doesn't bother us), the bathroom floor, and the power lines. We'll see how we feel while we're there today I guess.
7. It's supposed to be 80 and sunny the rest of the week, I'm looking forward to all that vitamin D.
8. I was really trying to avoid maternity clothes for as long as possible but I think I need to bite the bullet and pull them out. I am so uncomfortable in my regular clothes.
9. DD is awake, I need to go and make her morning smoothie (spinach, greek yogurt, banana, milk). She looves this and is still the only way she will drink milk).
10. My step father is bringing over steak chilli for dinner tonight
jnetx the new house is probably 3 or 4 miles away. Our house now is like 1 mile away but ours is near the alternate runway so I assume it's used much less. I also like to watch the planes and helicopters and DD loves to as well! He is nervous that we wouldn't be able to enjoy our backyard very much with all the air traffic. DH even had us all go over to the new neighborhood and walk around and play at the playground for 1.5 hours over the weekend to try and get a real feel for it. We only had 1 huge jet fly over that was pretty loud but it's over in 20 seconds the rest were smaller planes, idk what the right thing to do is.

1. DD1 is being a monster today. Tantrums over EVERYTHING from the moment that she woke up.
2. I'm currently hiding and drinking coffee.
3. DD2 is 3 months old today!
4. I joined the DietBet challenge in the parenting board and I've lost about 4 lbs so far. Go away, baby weight!
5. We had DD's birthday party on Sunday and it turned out great! She had so much fun and everyone loved the puppy theme.
6. I sent all of the leftover junk food with DH to work so that I wouldn't eat it. His coworkers were pretty happy.
7. I'm thinking of registering for a half marathon that isn't until next summer. I'm not sure that I'm capable, but if I register I can't back out, right?!
8. I need a hair/wardrobe makeover and I need to learn how to do my makeup. Haha.
9. It's undeniably fall here. I'm not happy about it, but I've loved bundling the girls up in cute cozy outfits and wearing boots.
10. I'm hoping that it warms up this weekend so that I can go take family photos for a friend... I need some money!

sugarkissed, I feel you on the toddler tantrums DS was an absolute bear today. (Pregnancy hormones were not helping) he got up early and took a short nap, needless to say he went to bed early.
1. I'm wearing a Pokémon shirt. Because I'm an adult. 2. It feels like Fall out tonight and I hate it. 3. I have 6 huge tubs of "Utter Cream" in my house for the inevitable cracked/dry hands that winter brings. 4. I took a Home Depot double shopping cart (set up to look like a car with two steering wheels) in order to shop in Michael's with my girls today. 5. Ashley then proceeded to tell everyone she saw "I driving a car." 6. I am going to make tea and have cookies after I finish this. 7. DH and I started playing Lego Jurassic World last night and it is awesome. 8. I desperately want to go to the local Renaissance Faire when it opens next month. 9. Ring-around-the-rosy has been successfully learned by both girls, who hold hands and do it together. 10. If I am forced to watch Monsters Inc one more time this month, I'm going to lose my mind. ("Eyeball Mike" is well-loved here.)
