Based on their previous adds, this is no surprise coming from Go Daddy. They are pretty shameless in how they whore promote themselves. Disgusting. I don't know anyone IRL who uses their company. Anyone who supports them by using their services will get major side eye from me.
Ok so I was really confused at first because the only video that showed up on the facebook page was the Budweiser one with the puppy and the horses. It doesn't look like the original video is up anymore because GoDaddy has decided to pull the ad. - garage.godaddy.com/godaddy/message-received-loud-clear/

I'm glad they are pulling it. But unfortunately for them, no one will forget that stupidity

WTAF?? That is digusting! I didn't watch it but based on what I'm reading it would have just broke my heart and pissed me off. I'm glad they pulled it and hope they lose business after this.
All I can say is that it better end happy!!! I can't bear to cry sob over another puppy commercial as much as I did for that anti-drunk driving commercial they did a few months ago!!

Seeing as it is a Budweiser commercial, I can guarantee I will cry! I always do at their commercials
Puppy mills are such a huge issue. I have clients who bought their dog on the internet or in pet stores but 'it wasnt a puppy mill'!. Yes, yes it was. Responsible breeders don't ship animals. Responsible breeders dont put animals in the back of a pickup truck. Responsible breeders dont sell on the internet so easily. This is promoting something horrible and in a sad way.
All of this! I was pissed off enough about the puppies In the back of the truck and then it got to the end.

I'm so glad they pulled that ad. That's just too tasteless. I remember Groupon had an ad that disgusted me a few Superbowls back -- I think it was waxing poetic about Tibetan culture and how their way of life is being destroyed, and then ending saying something like, "Good thing there's a Tibetan restaurant near you so you can enjoy it now!" I dunno, it sounded like they were making light of a whole people group suffering.

Budweiser released their Super Bowl ad today and thankfully it ends happy!!
Great! Just fucking great! Another aspect of our society that justifies puppy mills. You know because god forbid you adopt a dog and not buy it from a pet store where they are riddled with parvo, kennel cough and parasites as well as starved and only get medical treatment when they are near death. Good job GoDaddy. Go fuck yourself.
I won't watch it. Who is the asshole who thought that was a good idea, and then the idiots who all sat around in the meeting agreeing that is the direction they should go.

Is that the one with the Passenger song "Let her go"? I straight up bawl every time I see that commercial.
I may have also downloaded the entire Passenger album because of it.

After what just happened with Go Daddy, I'm willing to bet theirs will end happy. Even if it wasn't originally intended to.
ETA: Never mind, I just read the rest of the thread and realized they'd released the rest of it. But also, that anti-drunk driving commercial also makes me bawl my eyes out every time I see it.

Sobbed so bad. The dog they used looks a lot like my pup. All I could think of was how if something ever happened to MH and I he would be home alone waiting for us and we'd never come home. And now I'm tearing up at work just typing that, dammit.
That ad made me cry...and not in a good way. I actually found myself thinking "Thank God the dog was sold. Maybe it will have a chance to be loved by someone instead of living with your sorry ass."
Lesson learned though: GoDaddy supports the sale of animals from internet puppy mills.....
OMG just watched the budweiser one. I straight up BAWLED!!! Like, a janitor cleaning the office I am in just poked his head in to see if I was okay. hahahaha
What are you people DOING TO ME!?!??!
I'm gunna go home and snuggle the ever living shit out my my precious furbaby!!!

I saw this ad yesterday morning and was so pissed off. I mean- C'mon, there is such a huge movement in educating people on adopting rather than using a breeder or a pet store. Is Go daddy that fucking stupid?!? They can apologize all they want but as someone who has worked with rescues and seen the horrible affects of puppy mills and selling/giving dogs up online, it makes me sick to my stomach to see a company take something so lightly. I am so happy there was a backlash online towards their ad. It was disgusting.

I thought it was just me that cried over that ad. Dh thought I was crazy.
The anti-drunk driving one? You're definitely not crazy. My Facebook wall was filled with people talking about how much it made them cry when it came out. It's not on TV as often anymore, but when it does I typically change the channel. It still makes me cry so I try to avoid it.
