I do hope you get the help you deserve. Your OB needs to realize you can't keep going on like this especially with the weight loss and the throwing up. Thankfully, your LO is still doing great that is a plus on any level.

So sorry you are going through this. From one HG momma to the other, I feel your pain and empathize greatly. Hopefully the zofran gives you some relief! I'm on it too.
I usually do weekly HG checkins on Tuesdays. I've been a slacker the past few weeks with all ofus jumping ship, but I'll start them back up next week
I am so sorry, that's an awful scary situation. Thank God you were able to pull over to get help. Happy to hear that baby is okay. T&Ps that you get some relief for HG.

I'm so sorry you had such a terrible day, but I'm glad that you and baby are okay now . As far as medication I would not be surviving without Diclegis!

We are home from the hospital. Got home late last night. I'm on twenty-four hours bedrest, so DH stayed home from work today to help me manage DD...who is not being the easiest right now. Was up half the night, since the acid has burned the skin off my throat and I can't even swallow without tears. Kept a little food and liquid down this morning. Gonna be a loooooooong process.

Wow, how scary! I'm glad baby isnok, though. Hopefully now your doctor takes your HG seriously! Like others have said, maybe you can try some rx meds, or a combination? I have zofran, and am lucky it works! But I do sympathize with your OB brushing it off. I've lost a ton of weight, and continue to lose every week, but my OB cactually compliments my weight GAIN! I mentioned to him once, and he just said it's fine there will be time for that - it took a trip to the ER for me as well to get any relief...so sorry you are going through this. I don't know how far along you are, but the newest "advice" my doc gave me is sickness will be gone by week 20. My research shows otherwise, but I'm trying to be optimistic and trust my OB!
Holy cow that is really scary! I am so sorry you are going through all of this, but so relieved that baby is healthy and doctors found the cause of all of your symptoms.
I'm so sorry you went through that. I agree with ashtog, I'd probably be looking for another OB.
Was this the one you had issues with before about the vbac, or is this someone new? (I think from your last post about doctors it must be someone new.). Maybe I'd give them the benefit of the doubt since you're a new patient and they don't have the benefit of having seen you in the past, but they need to do a better job of managing your health, and if they don't, I hope you won't hesitate to find someone who will.

At my OB appointment that morning, I had to BEG for Zofran, and even then, he said, "now, I want you to promise me that you will only take this when you need it and not just when you feel queasy. You're out of the first trimester and this is a really erroneous prescription since you won't really need it."

This is my brand-new OB that I hadn't seen before yesterday. I'm going to having a LONG talk with him at my follow-up on Tuesday and being very blunt that the fact that I was so dismissed is a red flag for me in a health care provider. The ER doctor actually called him a "damn fool."

I'm pretty pissed about that right now.
What the hell, does he just no believe in HG? You almost PASSED OUT WHILE DRIVING because you're so dehydrated from vomitting, so he can fuck right off with that.

DH has already said that if he tries to give me shit about taking the Zofran (which I now have TWO prescriptions for because the ER gave me a good sized supply ON TOP of the tiny tiny tiny amount that my OB had given me that morning) or tries to tell me that HG is all in my head or whatever, that he will be ripping my OB a new asshole.
foolofatook I'm so sorry he was such a dick. He can shove that second trimester crap up his butt. I didn't puke until the second trimester, and while my nausea isn't as all-day pervasive, it's definitely more severe.
