leenziepops - thanks for the T&P! Need them, I'm definitely freakin out a bit. trixi282 - Yeah, I think it is a level 2 U/S. We have to go to a perinatal diagnostic center for the scan when I'm 28 weeks (which is March, which is basically forever away). The doctor didn't say much about the condition, just "don't freak out about this" (So helpful! does she not know I'm pregnant and that's kinda what we do?). A lot of what I've read online is pretty reassuring surprisingly, it seems to resolve before birth the majority of the time. I think its just the idea of anything being wrong is so unsettling. I'll definitely keep you all updated - thanks for the T&P!
How was your AS, or when will it be? Anything interesting happen? A/S was at 18 weeks and all went well but little man refused to stay still for a picture of the bottom of his spine. They said there wasn't a concern but we get to do another U/S next Friday, 2/6. The offered to do the blood test to rule out spina bifida in the meantime but those tests give me anxiety so the doctor and I decided skipping it was best for me.
How are you and your DH/SO feeling these days? (Thought I'd give some word space for the DH's who put up with us) I'm feeling okay this week. I was traveling and at a tradeshow booth yesterday so I'm pretty wiped today. Resting and drinking a lot of water. Waiting for my daily dose if baby kicks which always make me smile and laugh. DH is having sympathy pregnancy cravings! He hated dessert before I got pregnant but now he has to have dessert every night. Ha!
QOTW: What were you doing this time last year? I was attending the same tradeshow last year as this year. Pretty funny that it's the exact same dates, but this time I am sporting a baby bump!
I missed this yesterday/fell asleep on the couch without logging in.
19 weeks and a mango.
AS is this coming Tuesday!!! So excited!!!!
DH and I are doing well. He's started randomly feeling my belly. It's cute. We also started a devotional together for pregnant couples so it's been nice.
A year ago I was 3/4 of the way through grad school and miserably teaching at a school with terrible staff morale. So glad that I've moved on and found new teaching positions.
