dd1 was a horrible mess at pictures yesterday. She is so full of sass and attitude! We didn't get any family shots. I think we got one decent sibling shot though. At least the baby behaved? She looked so stinking cute, I can't wait to see her pictures! She is seriously the sweetest baby I just want to kiss her all day!
Poor little guy is gassy and constipated today He had the runny poops last night and constipation today. I don't think him being a little piggy yesterday and eating a lot helped matters. Isn't there some form of a growth spurt that occurs between 1-2 weeks or something?

I've heard there can be one at 7-10 days. I'm sorry LO is feeling poopy
The nurse took Ellie tothe nursery at 1am and was supposed to bring her back after weighing her and taking some vitals. She asked me if I wanted her to keep her overnight and said no because DH was going to handle the next feeding. She never brought her back I just walked down to the nursery and she's sleeping peacefully so I won't disturb her by moving her right now but I HATE when people don't listen to me.
The nurses did that with S too. I'm guessing they would have brought him if he was crying, but I clearly said I wanted him in 3 hours to keep him on a schedule. I was trying to avoid any jaundice. He never did have any, but they still didn't listen. I think maybe it was because there were so many nurses in and out of there.
I have 4 little bears, just like my name says. 2 girls 2 boys ages 8,5,3, and my newest babe. 2 of my little bears have life threatening food allergies, feel free to ask me more about that!
Came to PB to check up/lurk my other bmb. Decided I'd swing in over here too. As far as I can tell everyone here is still pretty active on TB.
Plus I tried to come update my ticker, and add one for Liam. So far, no such luck. I had it before, now it only showed the code.
I'm debating on going to voodoo doughnut today. It sounds delicious.
I check in over there, but definitely post more over here. I just have a bad taste over all of that stuff. I don't want to get banned either though. So maybe that's another reason.

I'm going to try switching his formula a bit-- we used Enfamil Newborn in the hospital but switched to Costco brand once we were home (almost identical to Similac Advance). Now that it's been a week, I'm curious as to if maybe that's also part of the issue. He's always super gassy and poops like crazy. I know people on the FF board said to give a formula a week after switching to see if it helps/causes an issue and since we have plenty of the newborn samples from the pediatrician, I'm going to try it.

I'm checking in there for the LGBT board, which is a much smaller community and had a bunch of debates about what to do. I'm mostly over here for January folks though. I agree that it left a bad taste in my mouth.

Are you using simethicone/mylicon in the formula? When I make a bottle, I'll put in about 1 drop per oz. Helps the formula to dissolve and it helped C to burp.

DS let me get in a 5 hour stretch last night. He was super cranky yesterday and was wanting the boob every 45 minutes to hour and a half during the day so I thought night time was going to be a joke. Funny how 5 hours can make you feel like a new woman.
Also when do the PP night sweats go away? I don't remember them with DD and I'm almost 2 weeks PP and I still wake up soaked my bed soaked and freezing.

Why can't I have a child that likes the infant car seat? DD seems to hate it just as much as her brother did. Possibly more. At least he would fall asleep once the car got moving. Once the weather gets warmer it looks like she will be moving into a convertible seat. Glad I didn't waste money on an attachment for the stroller.

Well I won't be showering anytime soon. I thought he was in a nice deep sleep so I put him down. LO barely gave me time to use the bathroom before waking up crying.
We had the worst night ever. Jude is so congested. He sounds awful. I don't know what to do to comfort him. We got saline fir his nose and we've been sucking boogies. His one month checkup is on Friday but I'm going to call them in a few hours to see what I can do for him.
megan81112, have you tried using a humidifier? That and the saline helped DS when he was young. I also added a Vicks type essential oil to the humidifier. I hope your little guy feels better soon!

I hate laundry. I have been procrastinating on washing the comforters B puked up on a few nights ago. Finally brought them downstairs, 6. I have 6 giant blankets to wash. Ugh. I'd rather fold socks

DH was home yesterday and went to take a poop. LO started crying immediately. He didn't believe me when I said that I don't get to poop during the day. I love when the partners who aren't home during the day get little previews of what it's like. This morning DH told me I needed to brush my teeth and I responded that I needed to pump so his child had food. LO having food trumps dental hygiene.

I'm 2 1/2 weeks PP and I'm still sweating. Not as badly as the first week, but I definitely need a new shirt in the am (if not in the MOTN)

Almost 4 weeks pp here and still woke up drenched in the motn. It only happens when I'm in a deep sleep it seems. At least it's helping me lose weight?

With my son I used to bring him in the bathroom and set him down in the RnP. The sound of the shower and the warm steamy bathroom always put him right to sleep. Unfortunately the white noise isn't quite as soothing to DD, but she is usually happy to sit in the RnP in the bathroom peacefully while I take a quick shower.

Anybody have a magic cure for hiccups? Ugh. He only seems to get them bad at night, which completely wakes him up after he eats so we end up walking him around til they stop.
grumpycat88, I gave up on my second cup of coffee. And socks are horrible!! But, there is just something about bedding that makes me prefer socks and that's sad. Because if possible I will gladly leave all folding for H to do once he gets sick of digging in laundry baskets.
