Marriot is good but definitely hunt around. There are bargains to be had. We like the resorts just because they always have their own private beaches. I seem to remember the Hilton resort down there having a pretty good happy hour if you're into that. 

Marriott does classify themselves as a 'resort.' I honestly wouldn't know the difference. There's that Marco Island beach resort but it's all booked through the year which is insane to me. I thought I was super early planning now. Guess not. :\

OH. MY. GOD. When we lived in Boston we had a membership for the New England Aquarium. I loved that place so much. we must have gone at least once a month that entire year. Have fun!!

Since someone mentioned Indiana, we've been to the Fort Wayne Zoo & it was really nice.

Thanks gallumbits gonna check that out. I went to college in the Boston area (Quincy) but I didn't have DD then, obviously. So I have no idea what's around there.  We're thinking of doing a weekend in the summer (it's just a 3 hour drive) so looking for a few things to do with her.

And the dumb @ with person tag thing isn't working. Every time I try clicking on it and typing the name I get "cannot connect to search server. Please try again"

Yeah I love the science museum but can't really say much about the children's museum because the last time I went there I was the child. ..
If you're going in the summer I'd also walk over to Quincy Market/Faneuil Hall from the aquarium. They're very close. The walk from the aquarium to North End (italian restaurants) along the water is also nice and updated.

We moved from the East to West coast last fall, so this summer we are doing a trip to Northern California. Lassen Volcanic NP, San Francisco, Big Sur, and the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Can't wait!

sahara78 I love the Monterey Bay Aquarium and San Francisco! I haven't been in over 10 years but it was so much fun. I went with an ex and would love to go back with DH and DS!

We are going on a trip with my family this year to an all inclusive somewhere.  My parents gave it to all of us as a Christmas present for 2014/2015.  It will probably Mexico or the Caribbean.

We also have a Tahoe weekend planned in February.

I love travel threads this is one of the huge benefits for me, in being OAD (if we stay this way)
This year is still up in the air. My DH travels for work, so often our trips are booked last minute depending on where he's located. But here are some maybe plans:
1) a week in Prince Edward Island this summer. Renting a cottage, might go with another couple with a son DD's age
2) Visiting DH's family. A short flight for us, haven't been since 2013 and his brother is also flying home with his wife.
3) 5 year anniversary trip. We are ttc for the last time (after two losses) so this is up in the air. I'm thinking Vegas and the Grand Canyon maybe?
4) Vancouver: we go annually for DH's work in December, usually leaving DD with my mom. When she's a bit older, I'd love to head to Hawaii hen up, since it's across the country for us.

So my mom, sister and I are going to take DS with us on Disney cruise this summer! So excited

Taking the baby back home to AZ when he's two months, which I'm looking forward to. It will be sans the husband but all of our family will be there to help once I reach the destination.

In summer we're planning on doing a family reunion and mini vacation in Chicago! I've been a few times but never explored the city.

After that there's talks about a Disneyland trip in November for the marathon since a friend is participating. J will be less than a year but my husband and I adore Disney and November is a perfect time of year to go.

And back home to AZ again for first Christmas.
