This time around I have a sensitivity/ allergy to MSG. Any amount of it will give me a 2 day migraine. It blows. I would rather be checked to see if I'm dilated every day than not eat pot roast right now.

Ok giving myself away for lurking on you ladies...

If you want to take it a step further, you can always ditch the broth. When you put everything in the crockpot, add water but replace the broth with more water. At the end, just take out all of vegetables and meat with a slotted spoon and then add enough corn starch/water combo in small doses until the jus thickens to a gravy and then salt/pepper to taste. I've found that the jus + salt/pepper have enough flavor to make a nice gravy without any broths.

I dont' usually use broth. I throw my meat and veggies in, dump on a packet of lipton onion soup mix, and pour in some water. The soup mix is what has the MSG. I'm planning on making it a week or so after I get out of the hospital. I want to make sure all the preggo hormones are out of my system.
That is wonderful! So many people have told me that it's sooo hard going from one to two so its nice to hear something positive about it
Hands down going from 1 to 2 was way easier than 0 to 1! It's very possible to have it be a good transition.
I keep trying to tell my Dh that several of friends have told me exactly this. He says they're lying to get us to have a second so we can feel their pain. Lol.
Thanks for the refreshing take on adding a second!!

I bet it depends a ton on your babies' personalities. Going from 1 to 2 didn't really change much for us, 90% of my energy was still spent keeping Dd1 happy, DD2 just tagged along for the ride.

This exactly. I feel like with the first one so much time to spent figuring out what they hell you are doing with the tiny human... Like, what does this cry mean? How do I do this or that? But the second time around you already have the newborn stuff figured out. I find myself thinking that DS2 is the easiest baby ever, but in reality I think he's a typical baby and now I'm just a little better at the whole mom thing.
How are you feeling? I haven't puked in the past 2 days so that's good. I had nausea, bit did not puke this much with DD. Starting to feel a bit better, just exhausted and no energy.
Thank you ladies for making your own thread and for containing your excitement to one place. I hope you all support one another daily, it's hard to get through a pregnancy. Hopefully I'll be in here bitching in a month or two.
How are you feeling? Much worse than I remember with DD. Constantly nauseous and nothing ever sounds good.
What are your cravings? The one thing I've really wanted was jimmy johns! But they don't make hot sandwiches and I remember last time being told no cold lunch meat
Anything else? Finally have my first appointment next week and then I think it will feel more real.

My doctor told me cold lunch meat is OK every so often
How are you feeling? Still very nauseous, tired, and moody
What are your cravings? Carbs - bagels and cream cheese, cereal, pasta, fries, nothing healthy
Anything else? Really struggling to decide if I'm going to find out the sex. I go back and forth every day! I was team green for the first two and I loved it, but I feel like I might need to be mentally prepared in advance for 3 boys!

All of this, you have experience under your belt. You're a little more laid back since you know somewhat what to expect from this little tiny human. And you have all the tricks or baby products, or at least know what could help, that might come in handy.
Also, I'm lurking this thread and probably will for future threads since I'm jealous of all you pregnant ladies
Sorry just creeping around here. no plans to start for number 2 any time soon but hearing about pregnancy is fun and so fun to see so many may mamas pregnant around here!
kendy20, just wanted to say when I asked my doctor about the meat thing (because I craved JJs badly!) she said that the real concern with it is the listeria and as long as the machines that cut the meat are cleaned frequently it would be fine and she figured that since that's all JJs or other sub shops do its a pretty safe bet to eat there and assume that their machines are cleaned daily. I ate it all the time when preg
so excited so many of you are on your way to two babies!

I also think it's only specific meats that have a heightened listeria risk.. Maybe turkey?
