Little Man decided that 4:30 was the perfect time to start his day. And no amount of Jake on Netflix or rubbing his back and saying, "Shhh, it's quiet time," would convince him otherwise.

It's currently 6:15 am and I'm laying on his bedroom floor in my bathrobe watching him yell at socks. #momlife

My gosh I hear you. DD has basically been up since 4. She would cry for 15min fuss for another 30 sleep for 15 and repeat. I gave up at 6.

What's up with the early wakeups? The past 3 days it's been 5:45 for LO. Not liking this at all!

I have my eye surgery today and I am not supposed to eat or drink anything since midnight, well I'll tell ya what, I have had a couple sips of water when I was nursing- I feel dehydrated already
Good thing the procedure is early.

Child is also getting good at actually crawling. I am patently ignoring this fact at the current moment. Nope my child can't crawl. She will stay exactly where I put her.

Lots of sympathy for the early risers. That was E yesterday. This am was better. Thankfully.

Off to go to see my brother today. We are going to a small photo exhibit and then lunch. I'm so looking forward to seeing him. I'm hoping E will be a good sport about it all.

greenpony33, Hope your surgery goes well!

I have a friend, well a girl I went to high school with that is my facebook friend, that has been posting really strange things. Like rambling, stream of consciousness stuff. Her sister posted today that she is receiving medical treatment, and possibly has some sort of postpartum psychosis. She had her third baby in January. It's all very sad, but also makes me thankful that my PPD/PPA (which I thought was the end of the world) wasn't any worse.

Trying to get DS back on this time zone. Hourly wakeup from 6 to 11 and then out for 5-6 hours after that. He wants to get up and play but mommy is tired and annoyed at daddy for sleeping basically all day on our first day back. Hopefully being back at daycare will get him back on schedule.

Well I think night 1 of sleep training was a success. The longest he cried before falling asleep was like 40 minutes. We even got one stretch of sleep that was 4.5 hours long. He hasn't had a stretch that long in months!

Another terrible night that DH took practically all of since G and I are flying today and I need to be able to cope with an infant on a plane.

We're nearly packed and ready. I've just got to get me showered, both of us dressed, and the last few things shoved in a bag. And I've got 2 hours to do it. G's napping and I'm drinking coffee and probing before showering.

Hugs for all the bad sleep! DD was like that at the end of last week, but actually slept ok for the past 2 nights. But 2 more teeth are about to break through, so the crank is strong with this one today.

I have a question for you lovely ladies. What kinds of sippy cups are you using? DD didn't really like the hard spout kind, and really likes using straw sippy cups. DS was the same way. So luckily I have a lot of straw sippy cups around. I was just curious what the Feb15 babies prefer.

RedGiant DS loves the Nuk Learner cup, which is a soft spout sippy with handles that come from the bottom up. He picks it up, chews on the spout until he has a mouthful of water, takes it away and swallows. I haven't tried milk in a cup in a long time, and he doesn't take a bottle.

RedGiant we haven't tried using sippy cups yet. Helpful! But I do have some with a straw and some with a spout. I wonder when I should start trying to get him to drink from one?

FlutterOfYoshis did you end up finding a cup that would work for your LO? Or did she magically start taking a bottle?

So the pedi said that since he seems to be getting better, and not getting worse, then we're heading in the right direction. But they also said if he doesn't seem any better and the cough still sounds productive tomorrow morning to call back and they'll see him before the weekend. Otherwise I have the follow up visit scheduled for Monday.

The hard part is that while it does sound a little better it also doesn't seem to be improving.

cougarette yay for a plan. I am sorry you and he are stuck in this pickle of sorts. It's hard watching your baby be sick and not know how to fix it. Hopefully he will make a clear change for the better throughout the day and you will have your answer.

@holachica that must have been a blast to be in Wrigleyville (even though you're a socks fan, hopefully you could appreciate/enjoy the excitement)!

My H was at a Blackhawks bar and he said it was crazy there too bc they were having the ring ceremony and all that. Great time for Chicago sports!

In positive news, most of the company is having their 4th qtr kickoff stuff, so they brought in food trucks for us. It was good, but a bit spicy. Now I'm waiting for the popsicle truck to get here.

Although it's not fair that product development (you know, they guys who build the products you're selling/implementing/supporting) aren't included in some of the fun activities of the day. We're okay missing out on the meetings, but we don't get to participate in the putting contest right beside our desks?

Dude I have hit the wall. Actually I think I hit it about 6 hours ago. Is it bed time yet?

I am definitely getting some crap food and maybe some alcohol for tonight after bedtime. Especially with H being gone again tonight. I generally talk about eating or drinking my feelings more often than I actually do, but tonight it is going to happen.

Y'all, there is a Harry Potter coloring book!!!!!! I just preordered it and a Games of Thrones one for a total of $20. I cannot wait for them to come in, when I will (naturally) copy the pages before I color so the books stay nice...
