Mine sucks on her hands constantly, often four digits at a time because that's all she can fit in her mouth. So either thumb or pinkie is always left out. I'm pretty sure her biggest life goal right now is fitting all five in at once. She does not, however, use hobby this to self-soothe at any useful times.

Her thumb is just constantly tucked against her palm. She never brings it out to use it. Or if she does, it's rare.

Same here. The other day she had a finger jammed in her eye socket and one up her nose, but damn it that thumb was in her mouth so she didn't care. She had the proudest look.

My DS is frequently gumming his hands. So I got him teething mittens on etsy. They keep his hands dry and have that crinkle stuff in the lining and he just loves that.

There was a kid that went to our church many moons ago who always sat with his thumb in his mouth and his finger up his nose. Until he was like 13.

She has also taken to putting her ENTIRE hand in my mouth while she's nursing.  It's actually kind of funny.  I can't laugh though, because nipples. 

That's cute! Mine loves to rub me while nursing which is sweet. However, lately, she pushes down hard enough that she pulls away from the nipple and it hurts. I think I'd prefer the mouth thing.

We often get a combination of fingers in the mouth. Thumb+Index, index+middle, or on special occasions, index+middle+ring. I think DS would be so happy if he could just isolate the thumb to jam in his mouth, but that rarely happens.
