I'm the same way! Until today anyways. I was saddened that I got nauseous half way through the cup and dumped it out. I'm hoping it was a fluke!!
Will you get a headache if you stop drinking coffee in tiredly? (ok I'm not correcting that auto correct. It's good.)
I have gotten headaches from caffeine withdrawal before! But I have been trying to cut back a lot over the past few months anyways. I was mixing up decaf and regular throughout the week. Right now I'm getting headaches I think from just being pregnant so I can't differentiate really.
txmommy14,I feel for you! DS had to get a full arm cast at 5 months just when he started to push himself up and was starting to scoot (and boy did want to move).
It was rough but he got used to it quickly and the 4-6 weeks went by pretty fast. He made a full recovery and was back to his normal self in no time. It's heartbreaking to have to see them go through it though.
The hardest part was keeping it dry, recommend sponge baths and keeping an eye on all liquid sources.
Thanks so much! Man, that must have been so hard. Well, we ended up getting a waterproof one, I was confused and overwhelmed when they explained it to me and didn't realize it is going to cost us a lot more. Oh well.
mymilkshake, so hard! I used to get caffeine headaches too but have mostly weaned myself. I also drank the half-caff coffee for a while and that helped! I drank coffee with my son the entire pregnancy, but I am kind of paranoid being PgAL so will probably wait until at least 2nd trip for now.
txmommy14,the waterproof one will probably be worth it. We had to have DS's replaced after a couple of weeks because we weren't as careful as we should have been with washing up, that was not fun!
They saw nothing but an empty sac, and I guess a corpus luteum. They said what they saw was normal for the 4-5 week range and told me to come back for a repeat in 3 weeks. So praying that on the 10th there's a baby and heartbeat visible in there.
jaykemp, Sorry about the news today. Seems like 3 weeks of wait time is excessive, is there any way to push to be seen earlier?
They offered to do one sooner, but with no guarantee that we'd see anything I think I'd rather wait it out. That way I'd be somewhere in the 7-8 week range and at least at that point there would definitely be something to see.

Gotcha, I hate this for you. Hope these next few weeks fly by.
txmommy14, I just caught up on the cast status. I am so sorry! Kids are super resilient and I am sure LO is going to bounce right back to his old self stat.
jaykemp, so sorry about having to wait longer, thinking about you! Hopefully if you continue to get pregnancy symptoms, that will be encouraging. Could you do a beta draw somewhere in there for peace of mind? Hoping to goes by fast, I'm sure it was just too early!
Thanks Andrea! I totally agree, I think it's harder on me than it is on him! He's figuring out how to function with the cast on just fine! I'm glad to know we are finally doing something about it!

They drew blood for betas today but I don't know if they plan on drawing them again or what. This is all new to me, with Little I didn't have my first u/s until 9.5 weeks and both my OB in the beginning and my midwife were much more hands off as long as everything was progressing normally. This practice seems to be more aggressive.
Ps I'm glad to hear your son is adjusting well to his cast!

((Hugs)) My OB doesn't want to do a dating u/s until 8 weeks for this reason. I really hope that it's just because it's early and things look great in a few weeks and you have a healthy baby with a beautiful heartbeat
My OB refused to do an ultrasound until closer to 7 weeks because she didn't want to cause more anxiety by seeing an empty sac, etc., so hoping (and betting!) it's just that!

I'm sorry you are in this position. FX the time flies for you and you have a better appt next time.

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed! The early ultrasounds are scary but of course so is waiting. Either way I'll be sending positive vibes
