I had my first migraine in quite some time last night. There's still s tiny portion lingering, but I don't feel like absolute death anymore. It helps that little man is now sleeping in 2-2.5 hr stretches vs 45min-1hr at night, thank goodness.
I'm nursing right now and actually need to poop really bad (first time feeling this way since R was born), but gah!!! He's so content. #FWP
R actually slept from 3-7 am....I had my alarm set to wake him at 6 (he began his last feed at 2 so I was letting him go 4 hrs since he is back to birth weight already at 9 days old, woot!!) but we turned the alarm off and both fell back asleep. Then when we did wake him he had a crazy full wet diaper with poop. Parenting fail. or second child syndrome, one of the two!
One of these days that I have to drop DS2 off at preschool, I hope to not look like a hot mess. Showering is just not feasible that early in the morning. I wonder how on earth I'll manage when the time to go back to work.
+1 showers are hit or miss here to. Usually I have to choose between a nap, shower, or eating.
DH and DS1 are off. DH is taking a half day, but coming home 30 mins before I leave for my doctors apt with the baby. I told him that makes no sense, oh well.
I think I'm starting my maternity leave today. I woke up with some contractions, they have yet be consistent, but I just couldn't go in today. I kinda feel like ass. I got a good nights sleep last night but just feel "off". So we'll see what the day brings.
@boxerific - dry shampoo, those cleansing face wipes, & some visine. You'll look awesome & like you actually got some sleep!
Not to be creepy, but I had a dream about @ali7p going into labor last night. For some reason, she was texting me all her updates and we ended up at the same hospital. Weird.
I was trying to go back to sleep, but I've been cramping a lot. Pretty sure it's mostly just gas, but definitely uncomfortable. Feels like bad period cramps that wrap around to my back, but doesn't feel like a cx. We'll see. I have an OB appt today at 1:30. Please let there be progress.
I felt my contractions in the back more than in my stomach. FX it is the real thing.
@justplanelove I hope your dream is a good sign for both of us!
Our addition is still going on & today (of course) we have the plaster guys, siding guy & HVAC. MH keeps trying to get me to go next door to my in laws but I'd rather the noise of construction (the siding guy is literally hammering directly outside my bedroom window right now) that labor w/ my in laws. FTS.

ETA words
Showers at night are my best friend. I value sleep too much to get up early enough to shower in the morning. But, FWIW, I'm lazy and wear my hair in a bun 99% of the time.
OMFG!! For those of you who read my AW WTF Wednesday yesterday, you know there was an email about a surprise for me tomorrow. Well, that email was just sent out & an email group I'm in was copied...letting everyone know that I felt contractions this AM & that they're postponing my cake. WTF??? Now I keep getting texts from coworkers. I know they are well meaning, but come the fuck on!! I'm in early labor at best...does the entire campus need to know??
I wish I knew if I was making enough milk for K. I've had to supplement an ounce of formula after every feeding since last Friday since he's been slow to getting back to his birth weight. He's now 1 oz away (yay!) and we see the doctor on Friday. It seems to me he's pretty satisfied after nursing both sides, he will sometimes take the whole ounce afterwards, sometimes half. I'm anxious to see what the doctor says. I'd love to just nurse him, my mom is leaving Friday and I don't see how it's going to be practical to take an hour to feed him when I have a 3-year-old as well. Also, I'm scared if she does discontinue the supplemental feeding, in scared he'll loose weight again. Uuuuggghhh! Stressful.
@usernamesarehard, I am right there with ya. Yoga pants right now. I have been wearing my maternity pants still but they are so stretched out in the belly they fall off. I have 1 pair of my "fat pants" that fit but my muffin too hangs over so I don't like that. I hate this part, I gained the same 40 and I still have 20 so nothing fits. Between that and nursing it's hard to find clothes that work.
thinkingoutloud it's only 2 more days. I know it'll seem like forever, but 2 more days tagged on after baby gets here will be worth it.
@ali7p what is with your co-workers? That's some strange dynamic going on there? So weird. Hope you do get to go into labor today though! :-)
@usernamesarehard yoga pants. I do have one pair of maternity linen pants that still work. I hate not having anything to wear too. I just want my jeans on!

I know! It's so crazy!! If it's not baby day, there's still no way I'm going into work tomorrow. I wouldn't be able to handle the comments.

@usernamesarehard Yoga/running pants with a tank and sporty/stretchy jacket or jeans (I have this one pull-on pair that fits) with a tank, cardi, and flip flops or flats if I want to look presentable.

I am SO UNCOMFORTABLE at work! My feet hurt and are swollen and my back is killing me. I also feel like I am dealing with morons at work. I cannot wait for Monday to be over so I don't have to work anymore. I forgot how bad the last week sucks since it has been 4 years since I had DS.

@usernamesarehard, I am wearing sweats and tanks around the house. The few times I go out a week I wear maxi skirts or yoga pants. I still have 10 lbs to lose so only my big jeans fit. I will brqve jeans again at 8-12 weeks.
Ladies with outside babies: what are you wearing? I feel like I'm going to be in pajamas and yoga pants forever, and it's putting me in a slump. I gained 45lbs with this pregnancy so nothing fits, but I definitely don't look pregnant anymore, either. I have no clue how to dress my body right now, and it's stressing me out. Halp!
Mostly maternity jeans (the ones without the full belly panel) nursing tanks and cardigans or zippered hoodies.
Add me to the super crampy group too! Maybe these ones are the real deal. I've had loose stools since yesterday and have pooped twice already today. These seem much more intense than my normal poop cramps.. Only time will tell
All I've wanted to do is stay in bed all day. I have zero energy, which is pretty unlike me. I'm hoping this is a sign of impending labor, but the irregular contractions that have yet to become regular are telling me otherwise...
peachey FFTC: I dvr the OG 90210 episodes. I can watch that show over & over. I'm still so in love with Dylan!

I have a couple pairs of comfy black sweat pants (no cuff at the bottom b/c I hate those). I wanted something a little looser than yoga pants. Paired with a rotation of my DIY nursing tanks and a zip up jacket daily. I did put on my maternity jeans yesterday to take little man to his 1 week check up.
