I don't post often on the LGBT board (on the bump) any longer because we were at a very different place than most of the group (not TTC and not parenting a baby/toddler) but I'm an L mom. My partner and I have been together 10 years and we have an almost 6 year old son (I carried).
I'll say hi here in case we are starting up. Was somewhat active on this board on tb and very active on cloth diapering. Now crunchy moms. Soon to be something else.
Have a 20 month old daughter who my wife carried and have had 5 bfns trying to conceive #2. Currently in the 2ww.

Ah! I'm so excited to see everyone! Hello! I never got active on the bump board and since all the things that happened over there this week I'm staying over here. On my month board I wasnt very open about our family structure because it occasionally brings out the misunderstanding mean parts of people. This is our families first baby, I'm carrying and baby will have two mommies and a daddy.
I was formerly themommymonster on LGBT on the bump. I changed my name late last year and then again here.
cosmicturtlemama did you ever post on the LGBT bump board? I remember someone with a similar family structure but don't know if that was you or someone else.

No, I never posted there. I joined TB in November, and only had posted on the "bump month club" board on the mobile app, and actually this week realized there was even an lgbt community there. After all the drama with the TOU over half of my bump month board was banned or left so that's how I ended up over here. I might just stick around for the lgbt board there though, my username is the same as this one.

Fwiw I have yet to run into anyone who comments negatively on my family. And at this point I can tell you if anyone did myself and a gaggle of people would be there backing you up. Also hi nice to meet you lol.

Ahh this makes more sense. I remember you now!
Waffles is my cat. Also, if you google Waffles you probably won't find me. lol. Just a bunch of delicious plates of waffles and syrup!
I'm made the safe passage over here too. I'm not sure how much I'll be posting here but I will try my best to keep up. Right now these message boards are turning into a fulltime job. My wife mamosey carried our son who is 11 months and I am currently 8 weeks pregnant with our second baby.
I'm here from TB. I'd rather just follow one board, but honestly I'm so looking forward to the thoughts and opinions of those with older kids (good to see ya, waffles!) that I'm willing to do double duty if necessary. Nice to meet you, cosmicturtlemama!

Just popping by to say hello over here. I've been active on TB's lgbt board for a few months and like jgy I'd rather check in on only one board, but I'll check in on both and see what happens.
My DS is 13, so I don't know if that makes him really old, but I'm looking forward to connecting with some parents with children who are out of the preschool/baby/toddler stage. We are also to TTC right now.

Hi! I don't go here, I hope no one minds if I just stop in.
I read a really great post on LGBT Parenting about gender open parenting but it was from a long time ago so I didn't want to jump in on that. I'm thinking about starting a similar thread in my BMB. I am finding myself really disappointed at how soon people are already ready to apply gender stereotypes to my child before the poor baby is even born! The most ridiculous things like the ultrasound tech at my anatomy scan saying "If it's a girl, she's going to want pink" like it was an obvious FACT and people telling me that even though I don't like pink frilly stuff now, I will once I have a daughter because apparently that's going to change everything! It's not like I have a problem with my child (boy or girl) wanting something pink and frilly even if I don't like it, I am just already sick of the assumptions.
Thanks for letting me rant. Waffles, your avatar looks delicious.
Hi! I never posted on the LGBT board, but I was a lurker from time to time. Pretty active on A15's BMB. My wife and I have been together 6 years, and we're so excited to be having our first little one! I'm the birth mom, expecting our little girl April 20th.
Hi! I never knew about the board on TB pre-Armageddon but I was only ever active on my aug 14 bmb there. My wife and I live in SoCal and have been together so long that I'd have to do math to figure out how long. We've only been officially married a short time though. We have two daughters, 14 years and 4.5 months. The 14yo we adopted from foster care when she was six. I carried our LO. We''re considering TTC #3 soon (she would carry) because time is against us if we wait as I'm 35 and she's 34. I'm excited to share experiences!
Hey Folks, I'm just starting to figure out this board. I'm also from the other board. I am not totally abandoning that board yet because so many people I care about are over there.
I'm the same user name on both boards.
I living in Toronto with my partner M (manada on the other board). We both have major infertility issues and after many failed IUIs used partner IVF to knock M up using my eggs last February. We lost our twin daughters Tavin and Casey on June 18 when they were born prematurely at 21 weeks.
We're currently 7w pregnant with the one remaining embryo from that cycle. This time we're using my uterus.
Looking forward to reconnecting with familiar folks and meeting the new ones.
****loss and living child discussed***** We're queer. I'm 34, have severe stage 4 endo, and both fallopian tubes are gone. My love ("Manada" 33) was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve. We did Partner IVF (my eggs, her uterus). We lost our twins Tav.in and Ca.sey at 21 weeks gestation.

Hi all, same user name from the other board as well. Parent (!) of four week old twins PJ and Z, wife of K, who carried our little babies. I'm checking in in both places for now.
Hello everyone! I am the non-carrying SAHM (part-time firefighter) of two toddler girls. I was at one point a member of TB and participated in the LGBT board, it's been a while so I don't recognize a lot of you, but I do see some familiar faces too. I will be honest and say I'm not sure yet if this site will be for me, but I miss some of the discussion from the other board and want to give it another try. Looking forward to seeing where this goes! Nice to meet you all
Hi there! I was participating on The Bump, but am going to try and manage both going forward. Wifey and I are expecting our first son (in my uterus) in late June I've found the LGBT board on TB very helpful. Many of you (and your families) are steps ahead of me and mine, and your insight/advice/knowledge is so specific to our lives. It's just a great space. Looking forward to meeting new members and seeing old faces from the other site as well.

Hello all! I am still over at TB, but don't want to miss out on the great community of people that we forced/or chose to leave. So, I will watch over both for now.
My wife and I are just starting to TTC and are working on being licensed for foster parenting.

Hi @halligan! I didn't see this post and it wasn't until I saw the firefighter mention in your What We Like list that I figured out who you are! Welcome "back"! I've been looking for you on TB
