I told DH yesterday that I was done with BF/EPing. I feel like a failure about it. ?
Don't feel bad BF is really hard. And I think that EPing would be even harder bc having to feed and pump taking up more time. You are doing what is best for you and your baby.
Over $16k for L&D related charges. Thank god for freaking health insurance! I now want to go post that cost on any post I find with someone going "we really want a baby but have no health insurance. Can we afford this??"
Holy god! We didn't chose homebirth for the cost but that makes me happy we did. $2200 for all prenatal care, delivery, birth kit, and postnatal visits.
We take our newborn pics today! I'm so excited because I have some really cute ideas. And I hope both kids cooperate lol

We're one month today! And we slept for maybe an hour last night and also had multiple poop explosions? I still made it to my cardio dance class today though, so that gave me a little energy. Hoping for some decent sleep tonight.

This is about what our bill came to with DS. I think the total out of pocket was close to 4k. With this LO the out of pocket is closer to 2.5k. Without insurance I could not afford to be birthing these babies!

I had my membranes stripped at my appt and now I'm pretty uncomfortable. Hopefully we'll make some progress and not just cramp for 2 days with no result.

Poop everywhere. All over LO, the changing table, on the floor, on me... And I'm pretty sure we're going through a growth spurt because naps have been non existent today with feedings just about every hour.

MH and I took my car with the installed car seat to get checked out this morning. I'm glad we did because we didn't have it hooked in correctly. Then, she showed us how to make adjustments and made sure we knew how to fasten LO in correctly. We read the instructions, but it was so helpful for the lady to show us.
And I just had some of our leftover baby shower cake that had been frozen. Still so delicious!
Went to buybuybaby and got the boppy lounger thing for $15 instead of $35. Woooo woooooooot. Also, baby is just constipated. Pediatrician said to give him 2 oz prune juice and 1 oz water daily for seven days and if it doesn't help, he will just need to grow out of it. I hope it helps! I hate seeing my fat boy in pain.
Thanks for all the support! It means a lot. These past few weeks have been especially hard on me with trying to BF since she can't effectively extract milk from me and then my dad having a heart attack a week ago on top of it all. It's just been a lot to handle all at once.
40 weeks and one day, and help has arrived! Ds and I are still sick so we're taking a cuddly nap together since I don't know how many more times I can do this before ds2 is born. Hopefully I won't go into labor until I kick this cold because its hard to breathe!

As someone told me when K was struggling, there is no right or wrong way to feed your child. You do what works for you.

We are going to see what happens if we don't wake them up at 11:00 and see how long they sleep. I'm terrified of getting them off a schedule, but it seems ridiculous to keep waking them up to eat when they don't need it.

This, exactly.
The MW and pediatrician I met with both said the same thing to me when I told them how I felt with regards to BF vs. FF for myself and DS.
Day 2 of formula switch... It seems to be working. If it keeps working, I have no issue with paying for the name brand stuff after the past couple of days with Mr. Fussy No-Pooping Pants

Guisse... I don't know how I'm going to do it when dh is traveling. Single parenting to 4 kids is darn near impossible. I'm glad my mom's visiting, but she'll be gone in a week!
I have 4 little bears, just like my name says. 2 girls 2 boys ages 8,5,3, and my newest babe. 2 of my little bears have life threatening food allergies, feel free to ask me more about that!

I'll give you 4 more... I'm keeping the baby I like her.... I despise the weekends when I have 5 kids on my own

I just pumped for the first time and it was a successful endeavor. I'm elated at the thought that DH can handle some of the feedings now and he's excited to be able to feed her. It's a win-win.
L nursed for 6 hours straight today. He then slept for 2 and is back at it. I am loosing my mind. I hate this growth spurt. I can deal with little sleep but not no sleep.
