I have a Moby and I like it enough, and Charlotte likes it, but it is still 80+ degrees here and I get soooo sweaty in the Moby. Is the ring sling a bit cooler? Or am I just overheating because of baby and hormones?
Ya'll I went to DD1's Halloween party at daycare with the squish. Put her in the ring sling because I was worried about all the kiddos to trying to touch her. It was so great- had my hands free and got to enjoy the time with DD1. Loved it!

Ring sling is definitely cooler to me. Less fabric and body coverage.
Question about the Maya sling: We have a K'tan which I love for getting out and about, but it's kind of a pain to get him in and out when we're just at home. I was thinking that a ring sling might be a bit easier, and the Maya seems to get good reviews. Do you ladies have any tips on which to buy - the padded shoulder or the adjustable shoulder? The padded one is more affordable so I'm leaning that direction. I need to go to a local babywearing meeting and try one out, but it takes me two hours to leave the house nowadays.
I have the padded shoulder just because I didn't even know there was a difference when I bought it. If I bought now and it wasn't a huge price difference, I would not get the padded one again. Nothing hugely wrong with it, just not as flexible as the adjustable and has to kind of be kept in place.

I bought an inexpensive ($50) linen RS for just that reason. Yes, definitely cooler... especially compared to the moby that has multiple layers over you and baby.
I bought mine here on the rec of a couple friends. I've only used it a few times but love it so far! Really easy to figure out too.
