I'll start:
My sister's cat has been in the pet hospital for almost two weeks, fixing what is basically extreme constipation. It's going to cost them well over $3k, probably closer to $4k.

That's a lot of new cat adoption fees...
$4k for constipation? Feed that cat some castor oil!

My UO (which may not actually be a UO) -
Newborns are a lot easier to care for than 2 year olds. Yes, you have to hold them and feed them more, but DS2 doesn't talk back or have such strong opinions on things like his outfit or what he has for breakfast. DH said that I just like DS2 because he's not mobile. That too.

I miss smoking. Not necessarily the cigarette itself but the going outside for some mommy quiet time. Now that I don't smoke I feel stupid for wanting to go sit in the garage with the kerosene heater on. (Not going to start back up, I promise)

Another UO -
The show "Flea Market Flip" on HGTV - I usually like the original version of the stuff more than when they refinish it. I hate painted furniture. They buy some wooden table from a flea market, paint it orange, and then charge $400 for it? That is some tacky shit, and I rarely think it's worth the final price.

I was reading a buzz feed article about mini vacations that parents have every day. It included getting the mail, driving in the car alone, and going to the bathroom among others. If I get on my computer today I'll post a link. I enjoy my time in the bathroom when DH is home. He's mentioned several times how I had been in there for a long time. I just blame it on the clean up job and he gets grossed out.

Yea no. My two cats would have a beautiful memorial service in our backyard if they needed thousands of dollars worth of medical treatment. I'll give you hundreds, but not thousands. And I am a cat person ...

I used to do the bathroom but I have a 3yr old and 18m old who both figured out how to unlock the door.

I have told my cat that she has a $1,000 limit. I love her to death, but at the end of the day, she's just a cat.

I go to the bathroom and spend 25 minutes pretending to poop a few times a week. I'm really just reading and enjoying the quiet while DH wrangles DS.

I don't know if this is UO or FFFC, but I love Taylor Swift. I think her new album is fun, I think she's very talented, and I think she handles herself really well (I shudder to think what would have been documented if a camera had followed me around at her age). I get it that her music isn't deep or even that complicated, but it's fun, and she's making money hand over fist. I'm weirdly proud of her, for accomplishing what she has. Of course, my husband thinks I'm ridiculous and hates it that my DS, who's only 21 months old, knows some of the words to Shake it Off and loves to dance to it. I think it's hilarious.
Going out with a newborn by yourself is a huge pain in the ass. I'd rather stay home.
I would rather go out with my newborn. Unlike with my 2 yr old I can somewhat take my time and enjoy the shopping. 2 yr old DD just wants to run around and I don't want to chase her.

Preach! Shopping with a 2 year old is the worst. I keep joking with DH that I'll do all the chores, shopping, etc, with the baby when she comes if he watches our DS. He keeps saying "why do you get the vacation?"

This one may get me flamed but I keep seeing it in the judgey thread.
DD does get swats on her butt occasionally. It's never hard it's never excessive but she does occasionally get her butt patted and I don't think there is anything wrong with her or me for doing it.

I love grocery shopping with all of my kids, I'm not sure why. I always feel guilty if I run to the grocery store without them because they love going.
Oh, Costco has the best carts for kids! All three of mine (including a car seat) fit in the cart with room for groceries underneath. Just another reason Costco is the best!

I refuseeeeeeeee to take 5kids and my BF so 6kids grocery shopping I will gladly take the infant and leave everyone else to home. If children could behave in public it would be different but short of shoving them in the freezer and running away nothing works to keep them under control most days...... lack of parenting with their mother for 3 of them... its amazing how well behaved they get after being with us for more than a week but as soon as they go back to their moms its out the freaking window and we start over
Holy smokes! When shopping 3 is definitely much different than 6, I'm not sure that I could handle that (even though I always wanted 6 children). You get props for parenting 6 kiddos!
I am a teacher so I understand what you mean how child sometimes listen and behave better for one parent. It's all about consistency and expectations. I'm sure your step-kids I'm assuming, know what expectations are required from them in your household.
