I've been considering getting a ring sling for the new baby. I've heard they are easiest to nurse discreetly in and I think that will be helpful when I have to be out and about with DD and baby needs to nurse. Did you find this to be true? What ring sling would you recommend?
I have an ergo 360 and k'tan but I don't think I'd like nursing in those.
I loved the ring sling when DS was a newborn. He's just over 15 lbs now so it's getting more incomfortable for extended periods of time. His neck isn't strong enough for a hip carry so I'm not using it as much until it is. That said, quick trips it's amazing and so easy to get him in and out quickly and nursing was super easy in it. The downside, you can only nurse one side. You'd have to pretty much take it off and switch shoulders to switch boobs. I made mine but on my new bmb many seemed to like the linen ones from www.etsy.com/ca/shop/HuckleberryQuinnShop. They do custom dyed ones that are beautiful.
You didn't ask specifically but my woven is easier to nurse in and feels better to have the weight evenly distributed. It can be used from newborn size. Just a thought if you weren't set on a ring sling and wanted another option.
Eta: woven converted ring slings are highly recommended as well. But pricier
RandomName what woven do you have? I think I need to learn mor about all the carrier options! Good point on the nursing on just one side. DD only ever nursed one side at a time and I hope this lo does too, but you never know.

There are great YouTubers who show you how to wrap. Baby wearing Faith, Wrapping Rachael, and Wrap you in love are some examples. It takes a bit to get the hang of it but totally worth it. I even used it at the end of my pregnancy when my belly was getting heavy and it helped relieve some back/hip pain. It was a life saver.
RandomName, how do you position your lo to nurse in your woven? I love my woven and would love to master nursing in it.
I do the FWCC mainly and when I nurse it looks like the cradle position. I untie in the back, and loosen the rail on the side I want to nurse and move baby down. I angle DS a bit in the pocket and then tighten and support his weight with the rail I loosened. I hope that makes sense.
