Anyone else having the problem where everything they eat tastes weird and you have this constant nasty taste in your mouth? Maybe it's the reflux but everything I eat lately doesn't taste right.
I grew up in a house that had mice. DH obviously did not.
I ordered snap traps a few weeks ago because we had a problem last year, then yesterday I said to him, "Sooo, I found mouse poop on a shelf in the garage...think you could get around to setting those traps?" He's like, "Yup - it's on my to-do list for next week!"
No no no no no no no. For those who are unaware (& I am so jealous!), mice breed like, well...mice. It's not exactly something you can wait on. I took him out to the garage & showed him the poop, as well as where it looks like they tried to eat the paper wrapping off our canned tomatoes.
DH's jaw just dropped and he said, "Ohhhh...that's not good! I'll get the traps out tonight!"
Can you just fucking listen to me the first time?!? Instead of turning me into a nagging bitch? I don't know who I'm more disappointed in - him for not just doing it or me for not having the guts to do it myself.
Snap traps rule - we had our first victim last night!

I should just lend you my cat. She'd get rid of those mice sooooooo fast! I think she's bored being a house cat. I always hear her growling pathetically at birds from the windowsills...
We pay $80 every other week for a cleaner to come. She spends a few hours cleaning. Our old house was smaller and she charged $60 every other week. We live in the SF Bay Area so VHCOL.
sandandsea, I want your cleaner! Another SF Bay Area resident here, I just cancelled our every other week cleaning services because it felt too costly for what they were actually doing.
We live in a pretty small house and it was $115 a clean (plus $25 tip). They did the bare basics (floors, bathroom, kitchen surfaces, bedding change) but not much else and not even some things which I would consider quite basic (e.g. light dusting but not actually cleaning our dining room table which we use daily for eating, and is quite obvious!). They were a cleaning service though and have standard boxes to tick and don't do anything more. I think we will try an individual next time. I wouldn't mind paying $115 for a really good clean.
I stupidly bought 3 pairs of pants today that are only 1 size bigger than normal and not maternity pants...didn't try them on in the store just assumed because I know how the smaller size currently fits...nope. I guess I'll return them tomorrow, but I used rewards so I'm not sure I think I may need to exchange. Ugh. I guess I'm in denial.
H said I have a big belly now. I told him it's just bloat, he insists its an early bump.
What do you ladies do for stress relief? Any vices that we're still allowed to do?
All I can think of is exercise, I'm usually not a huge exercise person but I neeeeed to get my spirits up and I'm thinking endorphins.
On a related note, I need to ask you all about sex. I talked an advice nurse, who was possibly on crack, she said "don't put anything in your vagina, this includes intercourse" ... Is there any truth to this? I can have sex, right?
Freckles, would she be able to keep the hounds in line, too?
Not the mouser, but my other cat (mousers brother) doesn't let anything or anybody mess with him. He's king of the house and knows it. He would definitely whip those puppies into line!

Sex is definitely OK! Unless you've been bleeding a lot.
My stress relief: the aforementioned sex, exercise, pampering (pedicures, getting my hair done, etc), meditation.

Speaking of exercise I've been terrible and haven't kept up with starting the fitness check-in threads... Ladies, be warned! Get your bodies moving because one will be coming up sometime soon!
Speaking of maternity jeans, I went shopping online this morning at Gap and was all excited to use their 40% special for some new maternity jeans but they are restricted from the discount. Boo.
jlabbe1123, a cleaner is the best. One additional thing to consider will be which day of the week you want them to come. I set mine up for Mondays because DH and DS are out of the house weekdays (I work from home) and I felt it stayed cleaner for longer. Weekends we tend to mess things up more and do more cooking so I felt a Thurs or Fri cleaning would look wasted come Sunday afternoon.
Thanks for the tip! But so hard to do in our case. DH works rotating shift work 4 days on 4 days off so it's ever changing between days & nights. I might look at once a month to start off if I want it do it more

my nurse said sex is definitely ok unless there is bleeding... Unfortunately nausea and extreme tiredness has not really put me in the mood lately. Hopefully that will change soon.

I get massages & love them. My chiropractor has a massage therapist in office so I get it covered by insurance $30 for an hour of awesomeness.
Sex is certainly ok. Unless you doctor tells you otherwise.

$30 massage! That is amazing! I wish my chiropractor had a massage therapist!

Yes! Peppermint gum helps me. Or lemon cough drop(the vitamin c kind that's not really a cough drop.)
