DH mentioned to his mom/sister that we were having issues get LO to take a bottle. Well SIL used doc Browns so she sent us a coupon for those. It is nice that she is trying to help but SIL had completely different issues with her son so I'm rolling my eyes a bit.
layloo08 having a baby can be so hard on a marriage. That argument you posted about a few days ago, I could have written that post after having DD1. And same as you, we were fine until I went back to work. Then I was so overwhelmed with keeping up with the house, taking care of a baby, and working full time that I started to resent DH for his seemingly unchanged life. I was really unhappy. It definitely got better, but it took time. I think it's great that you are bringing up your concerns now; I didn't and just got more and more angry.
This time has been a completely different experience. DH has majorly stepped it up, so much so that I'm almost baffled by it. He has been amazingly helpful in ways he never was after DD1. Maybe it's a learning curve. Hope your talk is productive.
I think it was a lot of pent up resentment. I was resentful that I had to work and had to leave Emma. Honestly I enjoy working and doing what I do. But we had a talk, and I realized that leaving Emma one night to have a night with the husband was just as important.

After the warmth and sunshine at the beach yesterday this cold, windy, rainy day is hitting us hard.
They are predicting more flooding with the rain today /tonight. Seriously, just leave us alone. And O has a neurosurgeon appointment tomorrow downtown where it floods the most in the morning.

I usually buy the boys clothes and shoes second hand. DS1 needed a new pair so I figured I would pick something up at Target. $20! For toddler shoes'
In other news, his masto spots are majorly reactive. He's never complained if a few were acting up. He's got over 20 being assholes and he says they hurt. I've slathered him down in his anti-itch cream but debating if he should go to the doctor.

ady45 what are porcupine meatballs?? @greengirl09 feel better! So my baby who usually poops every 5-9 days, has had 3 good poops today. Holy cow not used to that. Makes me feel better tho, she's been snacking and sleeping more than her marathon feeds, so maybe she's actually getting more efficient?!

They are hamburger, rice, onion and seasoning made into meatballs and cooked in a tomato sauce.

I had my first choir practice as the director today! It was a huge success! My church is extremely small and there usually isn't very much choir participation. For this reason, they decided to only have a "Christmas choir" because there isn't enough devotion to have one year round. So I was expecting maybe five people to show up. 16! I had sixteen people come to practice! And they sounded really good! I felt so happy and in my element when I was in front of them. It reminded me of why I chose that major in college and really affirmed that I really do want to do this for the rest of my life. Seriously, it was the happiest I've been in a long time!
Just got home a little while ago. I have to brag about how awesome Miles did during the entire trip!
It was a good trip, but also odd. FIL left his family when H was 13. It was nice to spend time with him, but hard to have so many things come up that H didn't even know about his father. H thinks this is the last time he will see his father. We got to see other family that we don't see much. We had a great talk with H's aunt.
I'm super excited about my finger tonight. Country fried steak, mashed potatoes, and homemade rolls!!!!!!!!! Probably some kind of vegetable, but I'm not overly excited about veggies

Sounds like we've got some yummy dinners tonight! I'm making ribs, baked sweet potatoes and corn. Pumpkin pie for dessert, then hitting up the gym tonight to burn it off. I signed up for a turkey trot and I need to kick it into high gear...this is gonna be painful!
My child has turned into demon baby. Up every 1-2 hours from 10pm-330 am then refused to go back to sleep until after 430. Like screaming no matter what position I put him into. I was already on lack of sleep from the night before. At one point I just had to set him in his rock and play and lay down hoping he would fall asleep. Thankfully he did but Jeeze I miss my 6-7 hour chunk sleeping baby. He must be growing or this whole leap thing has something to it. He also is only happy in certain positions during the day too. Bawls if you hold him not how he wants to be held. Oy vay. Lord help us.
Bright side, DH agreed to start putting Christmas decor up. Stockings are hung on the mantle and the tree itself is up. But wouldn't you know half the bulbs on the bottom of our prelit tree are out. I'm going to go the easy route and just get a strand of white lights to compensate bc screw replacing 100 lights right now. Can't wait to get it decorated.

Also I put Ethan in the pack n play yesterday to "play" while I folded laundry. He loves DS1's digger. There's a lever that he bats st that makes noise. Anyway, I look at him and see this.
Ladies, C had more manipulation done to make sure latch is still in a good place on Friday. I had the osteopath check to see if he could do anything for C's blocked tear duct. He did a little manipulation around his nose and sinus region. We have had no goopy or matted shut eye the past two days! I am a believer. H has always been big on manipulation. His grandpa was an osteopath doctor and would do manipulation on him as a kid. I like the idea of the balance of traditional and osteopathic medice.

LMAO... I love autocorrect. Enjoy your finger*
At first I was thinking, maybe mommabakes is excited to lick mashed potatoes from her fingers?? Haha.
Thanks for the tip regarding ear infections runningmommy519!
This reminds me of a question I had. How do you ladies clean out LO's ears? I'm afraid J is too squirmy to try q-tips.
I ended up going I my friends. We all had a great time and he stayed mostly in my arms.
You aren't suppose to put anything smaller than your elbow in your ear. No you can't fit your elbow in your ear so that means nothing in the ear. There are some pretty gross images on Google

I just wrap my pinky finger in a damp washcloth and dig around as best as I can....however while i was feeding her earlier today I realized I'm not accomplishing much with this method.

korean people use this thing that looks like a small spoon to scrape the earwax off the inside. Obviously very dangerous, but my mom did it to me as a kid. I'm probably not going to do it to E unless she's a lot older. Like 10. At least. For now, I use my fingernail to kinda scrape out what I can. It's super glamorous. Fun fact: Asian earwax is like dry sheets of wax, similar to beeswax. E takes after my side in this apparently.
Oh baby GAP is doing 40% off today, plus you earn $25 gap cash for every $50 you spend.

I use baby qtips on A. I do it after bath time (trying to soak up any water that might have gotten in there). The baby ones don't really go in deeper than you can see, but I've gotten some nasty looking junk out of there. Ok, maybe it was iodine from surgery, but still. I try and lay her head to one side, then distract her so she focuses and doesn't flail around. It's not too bad.
Dinner tonight is Cajun shrimp pasta. Shrimp, mushrooms, green pepper, red pepper, red onion, cream sauce. And DH made his first apple pie. See fb for pics later lol.
Creeper alert. abvintage you were in my dream last night. MH and I were getting remarried, or married again for some reason, in a little country chapel and you were there. The ceremony was Disney Frozen-themed. I was dressed like Elsa (or supposed to be dressed like Elsa) and there were pictures of snowflakes everywhere. I think you were dressed like Anna, but we weren't the characters or acting like the characters, it was just dress up.
