I read this one the other day! I mean don't get me wrong, I LOVE that the Whole Foods in my neighborhood has an expectant mother parking space for when it's crowded and I'm lazy.. But taking a handicap space from someone who really needs it.. Nope, nope, nope.

Agreed. I'm all about the expectant mother parking spaces at BRU, but it really pisses me off when people who aren't disabled use handicap spots. I see it all the time here and I just think its so wrong.
I saw this today too! My big issue here was that she obviously didn't consider other solutions first or the perspectives of people who actually need those parking spaces. I mean, I'm sure I'll take that expectant mother space at the grocery store in May when it's a million degrees and I'm waddling everywhere, but I would feel terrible taking a handicap spot when my legs actually work.

I feel the same way even though we can get a handicap parking sticker for our daughter. I have never used it. I feel bad because ya it make take a little more time to get my daughter in her wheel chair and all her equipment out and in to wherever we are going but it still isnt bad enough to warrant using one. There are people who are by themselves who need it way more then we do. That's one of my biggest pet peeves!!

Some Devon chick on the Facebook group thread said she reported a lurker who had an ABCDE type name because she thought it was a fake profile. I called her out and quoted where she said she reported her, then she back tracked and said she was being sarcastic. It's all pretty lame and especially lame that the Dump banned the alphabet user, because she didn't even say anything that controversial. The censorship up in there is out of control.
These dumbass threads always pull me out of Dump retirement. I just had to say something. It amazes me how stupid people are. You think I would be used to it by now!
I just went back to see what else Chula has posted and she has a thread called "18 weeks & having vagina pain". I don't know why but the title made me LOL!!
"Pulse in my ear"...homie said not to tell her to contact her doctor..
I love the response to people telling her to ask her dr - "OP stated she didn't want to." That's great, I can still tell her call a dr, she can ignore it (also, does no one have a pregnancy book over there? Or google?!)
"Boobs leaking" thread makes me want to kill myself. How the fuck do you NOT know about this absurdly common pregnancy symptom by now? I just can't even.
This is why I'm glad I quit TB. My dad has been wheelchair bound since I was 11 and I hate that he sometimes can't park and have room to get his wheelchair out of his car because there are people who take advantage of handicap parking.

I still have an account but I barely ever go over there.
I'm sorry about your dad. My grandmother had a handicap pass and we would take it whenever we were out with her just so she didn't have to walk so much (she was very frail and would fall all the time). If we couldn't get a spot (which would happen a lot) we had to drop her off at the front wherever we were and go park the car elsewhere, which was OK if someone could wait with her, but sucked if it was just her and one other person.
I go to Target every weekend and I see completely able-bodied people using the spots and it seriously makes me angry. People really suck sometimes.

My husband could have a handicap spot with his disease (cystic fibrosis) but he doesnt need it. I do think you shouldn't really judge the physical appearance of people using handicapped spots - they may have a disease that makes it hard to breathe or something. Handicapped spots are not just for people in wheelchairs.
I just saw one about why do some of you get so many u/s. Believe me, even though I love seeing my baby, I would prefer to have a pregnancy that doesn't involve so many ultrasounds. With my DD I had them every appt even though they were pretty sure she didn't have an open neural tube defect they still wanted to check her out every time. This pregnancy I'm old on top of other health issues. I've had 4 already and have another level II in two weeks. My first DS I had three and the third one was because I had contractions at 5 months and they wanted to check him out. Everything was fine and I had no further ones. People don't realize how upsetting it is when they complain about only having two.
You want to get really angry go to aug 15 and read mixed children. People are ignorant.
I can't even.
Wow. The sad thing is that the ignorance is coming from the parents of the mixed babies themselves. Mulatto? High-yellow?! Really?
Also, what about the one that said that when you call yourself Indian or Christian you are being violent because you separate yourself from the human race. How about no? I'm Hispanic and Catholic and still a human being and also a non-violent contributing member of society.
This one takes the cake for me. Stupid AND creepy as all get out. Just a fair warning before you read this.....don't be in the middle of eating. I made that mistake.
