If you asked this before I was pregnant I would have said give me all the girls - I have 2 sisters and had no clue about little boys. So I ended up pregnant with a boy first! I was so nervous but so excite. It istrue what they say about little boys, he's very loving and sweet and sooooo busy. Very easy baby. So second, I wanted another boy. I now knew what to expect and had the boy clothes Etc. I had a little girl. And man is she the total opposite so far. She is strong willed and a hard baby! And I still have her wearing some of my boy sleepers anyways! But now I am so happy to have one of each to experience how different motherhood can be. I think we're done though. Just wanted to share.
My DD is 11. There is such an age gap that it wouldn't make sense to hope for a girl just because DD wants a sister; she'd be 15 by the time another DD was old enough to okay with, and then they wouldn't have anything in common.
I want to be crazy and go for a third boy. Being so close on age, they would be my little 3 Musketeers! I occasional think we should have a girl instead only because the grocery bill with 3 teenaged boys frightens me.
I'm on mobile so I can't vote (or even see the options which blows). But I would probably pick SS because I would be equally happy with either! In an ideal world (health wise, financially, etc.) we would like 3, so if #2 is a girl we'd probably want a boy for #3 so that we could have one of each. but in and of itself, #2 is kind of a freebie.
Hit the 3 dots in the upper right corner and view it in web view.
I'll just be happy if I get to have another one. H has to take testosterone cause his is so low and from what he's been told he may not be able to have more. Which really sucks cause I want more than just one.

So everyone keeps saying the same sex because they would be so close. I have 4 brothers and they're my best friends. We look out for each other. You don't need to all be the same sex to be close...just my 2 cents. I love that it's just me and my brothers. With that said I really don't care, but I know that H wants a boy. He mentioned maybe he wants a third if the next one is a girl. I told him I guess he's getting remarried then. Not that he doesn't LOOOVE our daughter I think he just wants to experience the best of both worlds. I think he also doesn't think all that highly of girl's sports and he's obsessed with sports. (we're going to change his mind though)
It won't let me vote but I kind of just want another girl. Call me crazy but I don't really like the idea of having a boy.
WTF. My boys are fucking awesome. I'm not going to call you crazy, I'm going to call you an asshole.
Solidarity.
I have two boys and although it would be nice to experience raising a girl, My boys are the loves of my life. If I had another boy, I would still be over the moon.

I have 3 sisters and none of us are close. Hell I don't even speak to 2 of them. The one I do speak to I used to not speak to when she told me I was stupid for having a baby when I was pregnant with ds1.

I'm not sure if we're going to have another or be one and done. I've always wanted one of each so if we have another, I'd love for it to be a girl. However, it'd be awesome to be able to reuse all these boy clothes that DS has outgrown and barely worn or, in some cases, not worn at all.

I really could care less. B having a brother would be cool but at the same time having one of each would be fun as well. DH really wants a girl though.
At this point I don't think I'd really care. My in laws would love if we had a girl since they now have 5 grandsons. I think it would be easier to have another boy, but then I think about how close my brother and I are and how much I love him and think maybe a girl would be better!
I would be happy with either, as long as baby is healthy. If I had to choose, I would say boy, so we could experience having both a daughter and son. Although there's something great about DD having a little sister.

I voted kagnaraptor because I am very 50/50 on this. I would choose a boy for DH, but I would choose another girl for me. I love having girls and would probably have all girls if I didn't really want DH to have a son.

Valid. It's not that I don't like boys it's just I want a couple girls first. But in the scheme of things as long as it's healthy I don't care. I just want DD to have a sibling because being an only child sucks.

Maybe this is a FFC. but I don't think that perhaps hoping for a specific sex means you love your children of the other sex any less, or that you were disappointed by their sex. I think it's natural to perhaps have a preference, even if it's oh so slight.
I think deep down DH was 60/40 on wanting a girl this time because olive was a boy, but once he heard that S was a healthy boy, any preconceptions he had went out the window and he's over the moon to have a son.

Agreed. DH wanted LO to be a bit but he was just as chuffed to find she was a girl. Just like I wanted a girl but I wouldn't have flipped out crying if she had been a boy either.

I have two boys, so surprisingly I would want another boy. It will be our last unless nature intervenes. I don't want to have to buy new clothes and other things. Plus, I've always seen myself as the mom of boys.

I am 100% done having kids. Probably. Maybe. I am 80% sure I'm done having kids. Okay, 65% sure. But if I had one more, I would like a boy since I already have 3 girls and only 1 boy. My son wants me to have another baby, but he wants it to be another girl. He loves to be the only boy.

I have no idea. I'm good with either! I really wanted a girl at first when I found out I was pregnant, but now I'm not sure if I would be a good girl mom!

I would want a boy for DH. He really wanted a son but we have two girls. For me, I would want a third girl! I love girl stuff and can't even imagine raising a boy now. If you had asked me before my daughters were born I would have said I want all boys. Funny how things change
Either or. A girl would be good because we could recycle 100% of DD's clothes rather than maybe 60%. But I'm thinking when we get to tween and teen years, having one of each might be better. Allllllll the hormones!
I have one girl and two boys, so I would want a girl next. I would like to have two girls and two boys. I think it would also be nice for my kids to each have at least one brother and sister. Dd is my oldest and really REALLY wants a sister!

In fairness to @nightowl89 I had no idea how amazing boys were until I had one. I always wanted mostly girls and one boy just so I could experience both. I am so glad I did as ds1 has been such an amazing son and because he is so awesome it made me want more boys. Ds2 is just as amazing and if we have more than 4 I wouldn't mind having a third boy. Boys are loving and fun.
