We have friends coming from Australia. They get here Saturday morning and are staying for a lot 2 weeks. We are so excited, but I have no clue what we are going to with them!
DS has his two month vaccines today. Poor guy is so upset now. It was great that they did both shots at the same time , but hearing him scream after they went in was so hard. He ate and slept for three hours right after. Then was super upset and in pain when he woke up so we gave him some Tylenol. Now he is sleeping it off. Poor little guy. Not sure why I booked the shots today seeing as it is my birthday. Not very good planning.
I tried to make plans for lunch with a friend next week and she said she would be out of town for thanksgiving and I was like wait what!?!?! Slow down time!
Sapling goes to the dentist tomorrow. I'm already dreading it. We tried it for the first time six months ago and the appointment lasted all of five minutes before she was in complete meltdown mode and we left. I begged H to come with us because she seems to act a little more level headed when he's around.
I'm also massively sleep deprived because I'm practicing my back to work schedule (only two weeks left, *sob*). I'll have to wake up at five, so now I'm getting like three hours of sleep. I might need to rethink my feelings on caffeine here soon.

That stinks!! Happy birthday though!! There is so much baby stuff I still don't know! I didn't even know you could give Tylenol! We have shots Thursday. I'm preparing myself now

Happy birthday lepeters! My babies are eating me out of house and home today, they must be going through a growth spurt or something. These days make me glad I'm EPing.
. they haven't stayed with us before. We met on our honeymoon cruise and have kept in contact for the last year and a half. They got married the day before us in Australia and came to the US for their honeymoon. They only had a layover in Los Angeles, so they haven't spent anytime in CA.
My LO has a cold (thanks to big bro) and is absolutely miserable today. Poor little guy. But ugh, there is only so much rocking and soothing a mommy can do.
@saveourship, going back to work is so tough! Try to enjoy the little positives like eating lunch with 2 hands or adult conversation or taking your time using the restroom.

Omg the poop was literally stuck half in half out. I wiped it away but could see more than needs to come out! I called the pediatrician waiting for a call back. I feel SO bad for her

Sorry you are going through this. We dealt with this when DD was transitioning from BM to formula. I may have cried right along with her when she was trying to go.
We are in that same faze. 2 weeks agao we did half and half. Then when we went to 100% formula she didn't go for 3 days and had a tons of gas then an explosion. This happens for a week. So I switched her formula to the Honest company formula because of the easy to digest claims. The gas stopped and she started popping everyday but had progressively gotten harder each day that leads us to today. What did u end up doing to help your dd?

DD was old enough that we were able to give her some pear juice to help get things moving. I hope the pediatrician gets back to you soon with some advice.
I hope so too. I called at 4;3p an hour later I haven't heard anything. I'm guessing it will be tomorrow

Dr called at 7. We were able to give the glycerin suppositories. It worked within minutes. Thank goodness. I will never not have that on hand from now on, that was a ROUGH couple hours. He wants us to switch forums again. 3rd in 2 weeks her poor belly. And cue the stopping breastfeeding guilt. She was completely fine until I switched to formula. Praying this new one fixes all the belly issues. On Newborn Enfamil she popped every 3-4 days and when she did it was an absolute blow out and had really bad gas daily. Also she was very hard to burp. Switch to the Honest Company formula and instantly loved it!! She burped so easily, it didn't smell at all really and she popped every day on it but now it's impacted. So switching again. I really loved the Honest Fornula. Darn. He wants us to try Enfamil Reguline. It helps with uncomfortable stool. But in enfamil newborn it was comfortable just not often enough and terrible gas. Ugh! I'm so frustrated
Hello old friends! I think I am back to play, but we will see lol. Baby girl is 2 weeks old and I'm starting to get into the swing of things. We are EBF after a huge struggle the first week she was born. I never thought I would be going to bed as a new Mom at 6pm, but you have to do what works. I sleep in between feedings from 6-12 then I'm on my own while hubby sleeps from 12-5am. The night time can be really tough on my own and sometimes I get resentful of my peacefully sleeping husband, but I don't see the point in waking him up when he can't really do much to help me and he has a full day of work ahead of him. She has been really fussy at night when she used to sleep between feedings so that is really frustrating. She was sleeping in her bassinet and so I had been sleeping pretty good. Now we are back to cosleeping so I haven't been sleeping as well. I always said I would never cosleep, but when it comes to sleep or no sleep I chose sleep.
I'm addicted to smelling baby boys head. It smells so good and perfect unlike the toddlers head which 80% of the time smells like whatever she just ate since she loves to touch her hair while eating.
Yes! E's head smells like dirt and food. L's head smells like sweetness.
Poor Seedling has reflux something fierce. She's puked two massive amounts since ten because it starts to come up on her, she gags, and then vomits. I've given up on sleeping in my bed tonight, everytime I put her in the bassinet all I hear is her wheezing and choking on her tummy juices that are coming up. Sleeping sitting up it is. Her two month check is Monday and I hope they give us suggestions for something to help her.
Thanks for the well wishes for Sapling's dentist appointment, it went really well! She went back without any fuss and was asking when we get to go back.
@saveourship Last night was definitely one of her worse ones. Poor kid would throw up and then be hungry, nurse and start the entire cycle over again.
I'm going to start tracking my food intake and her bad reflux to see if something I eat helps cause a worse flair up. Hopefully that'll make so we can both sleep for a bit longer at night.
Baby boy and I just had an almost 100% successful outing to Michael's to buy wooden letters for the wall in his room. He slept the whole time so big plus there, but his name starts with B and they had none! 20 of every other letter but no B's...what are the odds?!?!
Just got back from the pediatrician. I ended up calling this morning after Seedling kept vomiting after every feeding. Amazingly, she did everything she's been doing for us in the exam room with the doctor and she quickly made the reflux official. So we get the meds now. We also discussed my diet and I told her the only major change was drinking coffee more than my normal once a month (like a cup a day). So, that's getting cut too.
Hopefully they both help. Poor baby is so miserable. Even when she falls asleep on me she'll every now and then just start whimpering and cry without waking up.
I love my new (to me) ring sling! Lots of gas today and he couldn't fall asleep but now he is getting a good nap and I am getting snuggles, but my hands are free.
We are going to the zoo today! We are meeting my cousins wife and her two little ones there. Hoping taking a 3 weeks old and almost 2 year old isn't a horrible idea.

Ugh I worked 6 hours today, most of it on my feet. I was supposed to stop by and help my clerk with one small training and get out but I got sucked in. On top of that one of my coworkers was being nice and moved my car for the snow plow. But he left the lights on, so my car was dead when I went to leave.
