I just rocked T to sleep while sitting on the edge of a hotel bed. They brought a crib in, but his arms and legs go right thru, and it's not very big (can't roll over).
I'm so worn out and I feel awful. I'm fighting a cold. I asked LO to sleep for me and we slept from 8-12 and 12:30-4:30 so far, which hopefully will make me feel better tomorrow!
Since we started the 4mo sleep regression O really has only been getting up three times a night. Then he was sick so that made it worse. I assumed he was hungry every time because he ate every time. Last night during the second wake up I popped a pacifier in his mouth and he went to sleep. WHAT!? I've been spending time nursing you that you don't need, kid? So I slept with him in the rocker for 45 minutes to be sure he wasn't hungry. Nope. Just wanted the pacifier. Hopefully this wasn't a fluke and I'll be able to get some more sleep! It also made his third wake up happen at 4 so I don't have to feed him again before I leave for work AND I could go back to sleep. But I miss my baby that slept 5 hours. I hear that he might grow out of it by college.

You guys. I'm letting this kid nap on me for the first time! I'm in a time crunch to get the first nap in before we leave or he would be falling asleep right before we had to go. And he wouldn't settle so I walked him to sleep, which I never do.
But now he's a snuggled on me, snoring, and even giggled in his sleep! Of course I can't get ready with him on me so I'll be late anyway.
I must admit I'm enjoying it, but I hope he doesn't think this is our new regular thing

We just got our longest stretch EVER last night at 7.5 hours, but of course it started at 6 pm and I was up until 11. She's not consistent at all. Some nights she'll wake up once, others she's up every 2 hours. I brace for the worst and am occasionally pleasantly surprised!

I feel a lot better today, the third night of CIO seemed a bit better, although it was our first night without pacifier or bottle and he stayed in his crib from 6:40-6:05.
I already posted but since this is the sleep thread I'll post here too if you guys don't mind. We fell asleep after 8 min of crying after 30 min of bedtime routine/soothing/singing. 1-3 min of crying at 11 and 12, but 45 min at 2 am which was the hardest part. Then another 5 min or so of crying at 4:30 and 5:15 but he fell back asleep himself, without any help or pacifier or bottle each time.
I felt so bad this morning but if it just gets better and he'll be able to soothe and put himself to sleep, it'll be worth it.
wegrowsheep thanks for the laugh this morning. Nights are rough. We are moving this weekend so both our kids are sleeping in our room. The house is a mess with boxes everywhere. It's a mad house. Ali's room is completely empty and DSs room was painted yesterday so he can't sleep in there.
Ali is still waking 3-4 times a night and up for the day at 5am. DS was up at 545.
DD slept last night from 7:45ish till 6:15 this morning. I woke up at 3am nudged my husband and was like did she wake up and you just not wake me? and his response was no shut up and go back to sleep.

Yesterday we did our trial run at the nanny's, which went very well, except in about 6.5 hours she only ate about 1.5oz of milk. I tried to get her to eat extra the rest of the day to make up for it, but she didn't eat that much more than normal. Which is why I think she woke up at 5:15 this morning, hopefully she will eventually get used to eating from a bottle and this is just a temporary thing.
She has also been on a morning poop schedule, which I think is keeping her from falling back asleep.
Since I introduced formula, LO has been sleeping better. Evenings were always my worst as far as supply so I just started giving a 4 ounce bottle of formula before bed. I think it's working because he's only waking up twice now, where before it was every 2 hours.

Sorry some of yall are having bad nights! After 2 months of him sleeping so so awful he is finally back at only 1 wake up during the night. I'm so excited but so nervous that when we move back to our house in a couple days (YAY) it will all go back to shit!

When my little hit 4 months and 1 day, her sleeping took a shit. I swear it's because I bragged about how great of a sleeper she was, especially in comparison to her brother who slept like crap as a baby--and even still as a preschooler. She went from sleeping 8-9 hour stretches, waking once to nurse, and then back down for 4 more hours, to waking up 5+ times a night. Lord, I'm exhausted. I keep hoping each night will be the night that she returns to her old self. I don't know if I'm to blame a sleep regression, teething, gas....something?! But it sucks and I'm exhausted.

C, for the most part, is still a great sleeper at night. She's started stirring and fussing a bit at 2:00am on the dot for the last few nights but I think it's the start of teething. She sucks furiously on her fingers and I rub her back and she goes back to sleep. She got Tylenol one night this week because she was crying and sucking SO MUCH. It seemed to help. I'm not used to this anymore and so tired today.

budders I miss your nightly updates. Though I'm glad that most likely means things are going better!
I pushed for a 5:30pm nap tonight. I'd seriously rather have an 8 or 9pm bedtime than this 6pm crap! But no. He screamed (in the way that I know won't stop) until I nursed him again, then wanted to cuddle and giggle... Until he went to bed happily at 6pm.
I guess I need to get used to waking at 5:30am. But it leaves me with absolutely nothing to give by the end of the day. My household and marriage are not benefiting from this!!

Put bumpers on the crib today. Every time Jules would wake up she would stick her arm out through the slats so I would have to go in an reposition her. She was pissed when she woke up a little bit ago and realized she couldn't do that anymore. She screamed much louder than normal until she passed out. Hoping this helps, she was up ever damn hour last night.
LO went to bed by 8. Great! I had time to do my nails and take care of ordering a prescription. H and I go to bed around 9 and we've been trying to get LO to slee since the. - 2.5 hours later. It's been a scream fest here. We've tried a bath, the swing, rocking, walking, bouncing, toys, pacifiers, Tylenol, icy teethers, leg bicycling, nursing, massage, and lord knows what H did while I tried to sleep. I've been up since 4:30.
Update on the sleep suit: ITS FUCKING MAGIC! we got it to help her transition out of the swaddle -she slept all night, unswaddled - for the first time ever!!
Also, guess what else happened for the first time ever?? NO MOTN WAKEUPS! zero, zilch, nada! She slept from 6p-6a!
Shit is magic.

You better Amazon review that shit! *runs off to buy one*

Night 4 or Night 2 if you count from us going cold turkey - no paci or motn feed- and M slept from 7 to 5! No wakeups, except maybe a minute of whining at 3 am but then he put himself back to sleep!
I can't believe it. But it looks like the cold turkey approach might be working for us....
Amelia is 18 lbs 8 oz and it's still pretty big on her, not sure how big Oscar is though.
Eta: def worth the money even though she technically will only fit in it for 2 more lbs
He's like 20 and every time I buy something new, he seems to outgrow it in like a week. The only issue were still having with sleep is that he fluctuates between one and three wake ups. Hopefully that will just resolve itself!
I had her asleep after nursing. It was a quick session and I thought, "great! We'll both get some sleep!" Especially since my throat feels like it's on fire. I go downstairs to wash the nystatin cream off and I hear my husband calling my name. He's standing at the top of the stairs with LO all, "hey, she's awake, time to feed her." I just fed her!
We've been awake for two hours since that point. She fell back asleep for maybe twenty minutes after I rocked/bounced her for twenty minutes and I'm up nursing her again because I don't know what else to do at this point. Cry, maybe?
Tonight definitely was worse than Wednesday night. He cried at 12:30, and every half hour from 3:30 on. Finally got hom up at 5:30. Hoping it's an extinction burst. Sigh

Right there with yall wishing I would know how many wake ups we were going to have. Malcolm pretty much sleeps all night in the bed with us. We always start out laying him in his pnp and a couple hours later when he starts wiggling and won't stop I move him into the bed with us. Well I had finally became "comfortable" with him in the bed with us. I didn't feel like I really had to pay attention if he was close to DH. THEN during our wake up I had to go to the bathroom so I handed him to DH and when I got back I just laid down and fell asleep. Well I woke up sometime later not sure how long it had been but Malcolm was sleeping on his stomach and very close to DH. Im guessing they both fell aslee and M did all that on his own. But we are sleeping in a memory foam mattress so I freaked out! I don't think I slept much the rest of the night.
