Peeling the film off of a new electronic. Using a highlighter for the first time. I got to do both of those yesterday, it was great.
I LOVE taking the plastic off of new electronics.
I also enjoy opening a new hardcover book for the first time. You can hear the binding give.
I love the smell of old books and instruction manuals.
I get a sick satisfaction of being able to use a gel pen for the first time with that little piece of plastic on the tip that comes off when you write.
We may be the same person!!! I agree with everything you just said
What small things do people take great pleasure in? For me, it's stamping papers with the kind of stamps that make a "ch-chuk" noise when you do it. I loooove it. Each time.

I LOVE paper fresh from a copier. I love how it smells and the way it feels warm. Sometimes I fantasize about getting a job at Kinko's so I can make copies all day.
I did my taxes less than a week ago and already got my refund. I'm amazed. And DYING TO SPEND IT ALL. But it put it all in savings for the baby. I'm boring.
Your federal return? We got our state refund but not federal yet. Off to check the bank account.

I need to buy new underwear. I'm thinking of getting the foldover maternity ones from Motherhood, thanks to all the good reviews by you ladies a while ago. I can't decide if I should get M or L. Do they tend to run big?

I hope ours gets back soon! We did ours last Friday, and we need the money to move everything out of DHs storage unit, where our washer/dryer is...I'm running out of places to hide the dirty laundry!

I got the size I usually wear. I probably should have gotten a size down. They run pretty big.

Thanks! That's what I was thinking, since maternity sizes tend to be bigger I didn't want to end up with saggy underwear. I think I may order online and pay for rush shipping bc I am excited to try them, and am too lazy to drive the 45 minutes to the nearest motherhood store (plus my car is at the mechanic today so I'm stuck at home).

I love that ch-chunk noise but not as much as I love popping bubble wrap! Talk about hours of entertainment. (Yes I know that's pretty sad)
DH doesn't have service in the class he's in right now. Sooo I'm blowing up his phone. And this is how it went... (Changed his name to DH, it's not always DH that's weird)
Man, DH's cousin has such bad luck...She fell on the ice yesterday and broke her elbow! I feel so bad for her! I also want to punch her because she didn't tell us until today. She lives 10 miles from us! All the rest of our family is 3 hours away! She should have called us!!
Elbows were a popular thing to break yesterday. That sucks for her. Hopefully she'll heal quickly and not have too much pain.
Update on my son: he's going to have surgery on Tuesday and they'll put a couple screws and a clamp on it. They said there we're a couple places they wanted to check out during surgery that they couldn't see real well on the images. He slept okay and is resting again today. I've already been to his school to request his work so hopefully he won't miss too much there.
rocksforludo I couldn't bring myself to watch it, I kept balling when I would see pictures of Zeek and Sarah in her wedding dress on FB! I'm lame and just read the spoilers instead. I plan on watching in when I'm in a less emotional state.
orangepickle did you get the house, or are you in escrow? FX that everything goes as planned, I found the process such a pain in the ass. And congrats in advance!
I don't want to open a new thread... It was posted on the old place. Where it the place that you can register online stuff from other sites. Like etsy and such
We've had gorgeous, abnormal weather all week, which I have been loving. So of course, this weekend we are going out of town for my niece's 1st birthday and it's supposed to snow 3-6 inches. I know it's nothing to what the northeasters got this week, but it's kind of a bummer after 55 degree days. Is it spring yet?
It's snowing again...like the 2ft we got Tuesday wasn't enough! But I'm hoping maybe my work will close early and I can kick off this weekend a few hours sooner...
Living in Michigan with minimal snow then hearing this makes me wonder what is going on this winter! We haven't gotten hardly anything this year.
I'm in Michigan too, and it does seem like we are getting off easy this year! Although after last year, we deserve a break!
I lost my job yesterday for complete bs reasons. They've been looking to fire me since I announced my pregnancy. I don't think I've stopped crying once in the past 18 hours.
I'm sorry to hear this! Just keep telling yourself that everything will be ok, and if you have felt that they wanted you out, it's probably better to be away from that stress.
Okay so I refuse to start a new thread for this, but I been getting dizzy spells. Like my head slowly spins and I close my eyes and sway a bit (hard to describe). Nothing major but I've never had these before; even in my previous pregnancies.
Is anyone else getting these. Maybe I dehydrated?
Sounds like low bp, which is fairly common at this point. Nothing to do but make sure you are sitting down in case you pass out.
Really super extra random- If you're due on 5/9 like me, 99 days till due date!!
I was just curious how many days away it was and googled "how many days until 5/9/15?" and got like a thousand hits. There are actually websites called "How many days until.." and you just enter the date. I guess they're for weirdos like me.

Don't feel weird! I did it too. We can be weird together
