So many birthdays this weekend! Was anyone else actually born on Super Bowl Sunday? I was - my mom's sister actually brought the Super Bowl party she was supposed to have (and all its attending food) to the hospital while mom was in labor and couldn't eat any of it.
Birthday Blessings, @tiggyt753 and @mommapizano ! Enjoy!
I am preparing for DD's 4th birthday party tomorrow morning. I have been baking the Neapolitan cake she requested and preparing the little craft activity for her and a few friends. She told me the house must be in "ship shape" (too much Jake and the Neverland Pirates, perhaps?!?!)
Is it bad that I did not even know that Sunday is the Super Bowl prior to reading this thread?
I didn't realize it was on Sunday until yesterday. And then I totally forgot about it again until I was reading through people's responses.
I'm really proud to say that I've never watched a single Superbowl, and I really never plan to. Unless someone invites us to a party where they have lots of yummy snacks. Then I would go just for the food.
We have a freezing rain warning in effect for tomorrow - it's supposed to be miserable which is fine by me. I had the busiest week at work and could use a day to just putter around the house. We're still working on cleaning out the room that will be the nursery so it'll be a good day for that.
Sunday will be errands and then watching the Super Bowl! I have a chance to win a pool (only 4 in the running) to win $380 and I still don't know who to pick. I have to be strategic rather than just pick who I want which is proving difficult!

@tiggyt753 Happy early birthday! Hope you have a fun day celebrating!
This is our first, full, free weekend in months. We have two projects: clean out the nursery-to-be closet and list the furniture in there to sell, and get started on registering. I feel super behind that we haven't even started either of those things so I'm really glad DH was up for doing that this weekend!

Tomorrow my husband is painting the nursery (!!!), so I am taking my two-year old swimming. He is so excited that it was tough getting him to bed tonight. I, however, am not that excited about putting on a bathing suit. Yikes.
Tonight I am watching One Tree Hill and folding laundry until DH is done with his flight sim. Then we are going to celebrate his buddy's birthday.
Tomorrow--watching all of Season 6 Parenthood on hulu plus!!! Because I JUST realized it's all on there.
Sunday--Super Bowl!!! I hate both teams this year so I could care less who wins--I am mostly excited for Katy Perry's halftime show and the fact that I don't have to cook dinner.
Funny I'm actually dreading the Katy Perry performance and have made up my mind about skipping it completely.
Tonight: did nothing! Tomorrow: shopping with my sister and having my mom, sisters and niece over for dinner Sunday: Super Bowl and hopefully relaxing!

I actually used to think she was awful but then I was on a 12 hour plane ride and watched her documentary...and now I love her. I think most of her songs are terrible but she is actually a talented person without all the wild and over-the-top stuff (IMO). So I think the halftime show will at least be entertaining. I skipped the last three or so years of halftime shows.
Edit: her documentary was the ONLY interesting thing after I had watched hours of actually good movies on the plane...haha. And I initially watched it to make fun of her. So I am still surprised at my newfound love for her.
