I think I need to unfollow all news related things on Facebook for awhile. I think I need to unfollow people who constantly post sad news related things.
I am so afraid that history is going to repeat itself. Last night I read an article that if elected Trump would make all Muslims be registered in a database. This reminds of of nazi Germany and detention camps for the Japanese Americans. In that same article it talked about how his popularity is gaining again too.
I am so sad that I am raising my kids in a world with so much hate. I can only protect them for so long. I really hope that in that timeframe I can teach them to have compassion and love for others.
Dh and I were just talking about this last night. He said I probably shouldn't compare him to Hitler, but, I did. I went there. Sorrynotsorry.
I feel the same way about Facebook. I just deleted it off my phone because I would open in at night, see something like the trump article and get serious anxiety thinking about it and also that I was friends with someone who posted it. I was trying to figure out if you could disable seeing any shared posts. That would eliminate most of the problem. I want to see photos and hear about my friends' life, I just can't handle how political it has gotten.

My confession for Saturday, it's my day to sleep in but I can't sleep. I'm just in our room pretending to sleep because I still feel I deserve the morning off whether I can sleep or not haha. I can hear DH doing dishes and handling both kids and I'm cool with how that's all going without me haha.
I think we will try the salt water ornaments today! We're putting up the tree and decorations tomorrow woohoo!

Signed up for toys for tots this morning. Hopefully the last year I'll ever have to do that. A friend also runs a nonprofit group and contacted me for the kids sizes and if they had a special toy in mind. I'm thankful things like these exist, because we can't afford much at all this year. I have to bake cakes tonight to decorate tomorrow for my friend's daughter's birthday. The icing is made, colored, and in the fridge for tomorrow. I'm very excited to get back into baking. Its been a while. Put the amber teething necklace on N this morning and he is a completely different baby. He's played, napped well, and isn't comfort nursing as much today, not even drooling as much. Might be a fluke, might not. Now back to brainstorming hour to get this cake from point a to point b, since I only have one box for two tiers. Wish me luck.
So I don't really know what I would consider myself politically... maybe independent... fiscally conservative, I don't know. All I know is that I don't like ANY politicians. They are all dumb liars. I don't know how anyone can support Trump.
I have been so nauseous and light headed since surgery. I'm sure it's from overdoing it and the anesthesia, etc. Or maybe a stomach bug. But it feels so much like first trimester pregnancy and it freaks me the hell out. I would just die. I don't know how people have kids back to back. They are some tough mamas! The thought alone makes me cry. I'm never having sex again, lol. At least until we are ready to try for #2. I'm sure DH will understand (insert sarcasm). :-p

I'm drinking wine and having all of the feels. Nov 26, 2014 I got my BFP. I hated being pregnant because I was terrified the whole time... From borderline low fetal heartrate on my early ultrasound to a thick looking nuchal fold to choroid plexus cysts, I was convinced something would go wrong... But he's sleeping upstairs and he's healthy and perfect and I'm so grateful!
Tonight is night two of attempting to move baby from the RnP to the crib. I took some of the suggestions here and also read some blog posts about it. We made a nest from a rolled up beach towel that we taped to the mattress to secure it. Covered that with a chenille crib sheet that should have a similar feel to the RnP. Also bought a halo swaddle and elevated one end of the crib. If we make it longer than 5 minutes in there tonight it will be an improvement over yesterday, lol. Praying that this works or we'll be packing up the RnP and bringing it on our trip this week.
skinandbones, Yes! It works but it is a PITA to prep for. It's a really great plan though.
That's going to be a problem. How was it a pain? How do you think the meal plan will work with BF? I'm worried about restricting calories would drop my suply.!

How did sleeping in the crib go?

Yep. I overall like it but I modify. I use butter(count as tsp) and I eat real bacon not turkey bacon because if I'm going to eat bacon I'm going to eat bacon. I also use mayo and count it as a tsp. I don't believe in excluding anything because imo that's not going to be sustainable long term for me. And frankly I don't believe in not eating bacon...... You do need to do more meal planning. For breastfeeding they recommend going up a calorie bracket but to be fair I went up more. My 'baseline is the 1200-1500 and with a workout on top I disagree with that being enough calories. I started with the very top caloric requirement. I don't get in all containers so I'm probably going to go to the next highest.
I do like the workouts. It compliments my running pretty well. And since it's only 30 min I don't feel like it wipes me out too much to do other activities

skinandbones, yup! I love it. I have lost 15 lbs and 15 inches. I have not checked my inches in a while. It is hard to prep for I won't lie. However, I meal plan, shop and prep on Sundays for the week. There are great supports to if you have a coach. I belong to a fb group that helps keep me accountable and shares recipes. I am breastfeeding and I have gone up a level for calories . Supply is still good. The exercise DVDs are good too and no longer than a half hour.

God bless the Merlin sleep suit. I feel human again. We went from 6-7 wakeups, at least 20-50 minutes each, the previous night, to 2 wakeups of less than 10 minutes total.
skinandbones, the meal prep is mainly to make sure you have planned for the right number for each container. The idea behind the containers is having the correct balance of calories from the food groups. I actually saw a change in my milk not the amount but the creaminess. Also with prep since you already have it planned/ semi prepped for the week it doesn't leave you room to make poor food choices.
