I don't care about football, or the superbowl, or any sport for that matter. People look at me like I have two heads when they ask me a sports related questions and I have no answer. I look at them the same when their team loses and it actually effects their day. It's just a game!
Yes! I'd never be able to put up with DH if he were a huge sports fan and he let the result of a game turn him into a jerk or whiner.
I've been letting DS watch a lot more TV than usual. I feel like a horrible mom because I can't get down on the floor and play as much as I used to. All I want to do is feel back to normal.
Oh yes, and a true FFC... I don't do gifts for nurses when I go into L&D. I've got so much to worry about and have ready, that's the last thing I would add to my list. I'd much rather do something for the girls at my OB's office that have helped me and been there for me through all my difficulties with insurance and helping me with little scares.

crispywheats I'm so sad for you that you don't like mayo or Oreos! Omg I would love Oreos right now...
One of my roommates in college made fun of me once for snacking on mayonnaise bread once (like buttered bread just with mayo). He said it was the most white-trash thing he'd ever seen me do, so being self-conscious, I didn't have it again for years. Years later he called me to admit he tried it and I was right about its goodness all along. :-P

I'm totally with you guys re the birthstone. I'm a november girl, so it's topaz. I know DH has an idea of a necklace with mine and hers. Feb and november work well together. Jan and november not as much.
I always thought Oct was rose quartz or opal. My life is a lie!
Pink tourmaline is the ugly fake birthstone that tends to replace the proper birthstone, opal. As an October baby myself, I have suffered through lots of pink tourmaline disappointment.
I'm emerald (May) and DS & DH are blue topaz (Dec). DH bought me a beautiful blue topaz necklace/earrings for Christmas after DS was born. The green, blue, purple combo would look great together

If there was a Jeopardy catagory on birthstone and/or birthstone alternatives I'd dominate.
I worked in fine jewelry for a long time and I love gemstones. Purple is my favorite color and I love amethyst. For all of you who (gasp) don't like purple amethyst comes in other colors as well....a pretty light green being the most available and affordable.
I own something else from this collection and I've had my eye on this since June:

MIL and I bonded over our mutual love of mayonnaise sandwiches. DH gags every time he sees me with one. He doesn't know what he's missing!

I am with all of you on birthstones. My DH bought me birthstone eternity bands for all three kids for our wedding anniversary/birth present. I haven't worn the February one just in case. I love the color scheme of tourmaline (pink), emerald and amethyst. I just have to make it one more day...
I hope to have a Feb baby. I'm the March birthstone, so it would be fun to have a different stone for each of us.
I love mayo, but HATE ketchup! When McDonalds accidentally puts it in my cheeseburger, I spit it out. DH loves ketchup, but I don't buy it, so we never have it in my house.
I hate monkeys too. They scare me. And there are so many baby outfits with monkeys on them, but I refuse to have them.
