For a girl we like Lilian (Lily) and Adeline (Addie). Our girl name last time was Addison Emily, but since we have a Grayson, we don't want two -sons. We will never agree on another boy name! We'll start thinking more once we find out gender next week....
We have an Adeline! Everyone I talk to goes crazy for her name!
We haven't even thought about names yet. It gives me too much anxiety to come up with a good one. We will probably wait until we know if it's a boy or girl so i don't have to think about both.
Andrea, YH and DH have similar naming ideas it seems. So far I've vetoed Brandilynnn and Briar-Rose. And then he has the gumption to say Seraphina isn't a name! Is too!
Currently DH's list of girl names (He gets to pick the first name, but veto power exists) Adeline Marion Melody Natalie
Originally we agreed on Rebekah Michelle, but he's decided it doesn't sing enough. Whatever that means. Anything I suggest gets shot down.

We have a boy name: Gabriel
I think we married the same person. MH loves Gabriel, but it is the name of the guy I dated right before him. Veto!
As for Marion, we like that one too, but would spell Marian for a girl, since Marion is often a boy's name. I think.
Marion was originally a girl's spelling and name (it's French) that was appropriated for boys. DH was the one that wanted that spelling. I may move to the a, but at this point, I'm still pushing for other possibilities

I have a list of names I'm starting to think of, but H and I will probably wait until we know the sex to start thinking about it seriously. I don't really want to be set on a name before the baby is actually born. A short list for sure, but sometimes names just don't fit the baby once he or she is born. I don't see how someone can 100% decide before birth.
We have a one syllable last name so I really prefer a longer first name.

frecklesnbrains, I agree! I like short boys names that have "oomph" and substance. But am not a fan of soft sounding boys names and anything super popular gets nixed right away too. There are SO MANY Br/K/Z/Rayden's, Noahs, Conners, Coles and Carters all of a sudden.
I have always liked Carson, Truman and Harrison - but we can't use any of them.
For girls... Annalise is my all time favorite, but we can't use that one either. Hmph.
DH and I have talked about names for a long time, so we have some we definitely agree on and some we're not quite there with yet. Since it's twins, we'll have to agree on some combination! These are my picks:
B/B: Heath and Neil B/G: Heath and Gloria G/G: Gloria and Laurel
DH loves Heath and Laurel and is warming up to the others. Hopefully I can get him to come around!

Yeah I don't dislike those names but I just can't jump on the Kayden/Conner/Mason/Jaxson train...
Girl names I love. Alice, Gwen, Elizabeth, Lillian...
pistachiomuffin I love hearing people love her name!!! It's growing on me the more I think about it the past week since we thought of it and both liked it...

MH won't discuss names until we know gender. I don't really want to know gender so we will see how that goes. We have causally discussed before I was pregnant but mostly boy names since we have a girl (Ainsley) Boys: Benjamin Jackson (I hate that this is so popular now because I have loved it for a long long time and hate having super popular name but hate not picking a name I love because of popularity) Jacoby (MH idea but I actually sort of like it)
Girl names on our short list last time Quinn Harper Hadley (I love MH not so crazy about)

We've got nothing. If DS was a girl he would have been Ariana Elizabeth. But now Ariana has exploded so I'm not thrilled with it anymore. For boys they all seem like back up names since we vetoed them in favor of DS's name. We are waiting until we know the sex to think about names.
Gray.son Cha.rles- We both like Gra.yson and my dad is Carlos, his grandfather was Char. les.
Top girl name:
Oli.via Lu.cia: I have died for Olivia since I was a little girl. I hate that is has become so popular. His grandmother was named Lucy, and we kind of wanted to bring it back to my Spanish roots.
Names Vetoed by me:
Serenity, Jeraldyne, Maize, Agatha, Tessie
Names Vetoed by him:
All of them
Maize might be cute! You could call her May. Or...Maybe you could even convince him of Maeve, I think that's pretty!
For girls, I like - Oona Saoirse (pronounced Seer-sha) Grania (pronounced Grahn-ya)
My family has a fair amount of Irish or unusual names, so going super Irish isn't out of the blue. We've all gone through the "weird name we have to explain to everyone" experience, and it isn't so bad, so I don't worry too much about the lifetime of spelling it and repeating it If it is a girl, the middle name will be Frances, after my grandmother.
For boys - Declan Duncan Eamon Keiran Gavin
The middle name will probably be Daniel, after FIL. The D name with a D middle is a tad alliterative for me, but it probably won't put me off a name I really like in the end. I can't talk to DH about this because he is stuck on a long term and increasingly stupid joke about naming his child after his favorite video game character. Even if he were serious, it would not happen. It would be the equivalent of naming your child Skywalker or something. He needs to stop goofing around or he doesn't get to weigh in at all.

I love Maeve. If I didn't have a close family member with that name to make family dinner way too confusing, I would snap that name up.

Maeve is pretty, but my family is Spanish speaking (with the majority still living in South America) so I have to think of names that will be easy for them to pronounce. My cousin is named Ashley (and 24) my grandmother calls her Ash-e-ley.
I had a girlfriend in college with a dog named Maize. It just seems kinda cutsey. I am weird and am thinking about prospective employers seeing their name in a resume.

We are planning to honor my husbands grandfather with the name of this baby. If it's a boy we are tossing the name George around (which was his grandfathers name) or if it's a girl we are thinking Evelyn Claire. I have loved Evelyn for a long time and MH likes it as well (luckily!) we were trying to think of a middle name and came up with a few but liked Claire. My husband came up with the nickname little Eclaire and it is so perfect because his grandfather LOVED eclairs. I always thought I'd call her Evie but I think his Eclaire is cute. The reason we wanted to honor his grandfather is because we found out we were pregnant 5 days after he passed after trying for over a year. We think he gave us a little helping hand.
Some other names I like are
Jack Owen Max Adeline Rosalie (DH doesn't like it though!)

I just don't see naming one of my kids after corn
The word in Colombia for corn is Maiz. The jokes would be endless.
I love thinking about baby names, I do it even when I'm not pregnant! Now that I'm having twins pressure is on since these our my last babies, so I've got to make sure I pick my absolute favs!
For girl, we've already picked out Elodie Alice.
For a boy, Theodore Pen.stone (family name).
So if we have boy/girl twins we are set! I stress about the other names. Possibly Annabelle Kathryn and Jackson Wallace. I don't love either of my boy names as much as I love Elodie so I keep searching for something I love as much in case I don't have a girl.
I love Elodie! I've heard it a few times and I really like, but it would be awful with our last name.

I understand your Spanish speaking dilemma all to well. My grandmother is Belgian but moved to PR after she married my grandfather so she has lived there most of her adult life. Her native tongue is french but she is also fluent in Spanish by this stage I think she is more Puerto Rican than Beligian. Still chosing a name she can easily pronounce is very important to me.

DH and I are pretty set on names. We had thought about this for years. If we have a girl Delilah Marie. I'm a 3rd generation Marie so carrying the tradition is important. If we have a boy Phoenix James. I like the mythological connotations that Phoenix carries specially after our journey through IF and loss.

DS is Mateo and one of my grandmas says and spells Mato every time. He's almost 4 and we've told her a lot and have given up. We tried to pick an easy to pronounce Spanish name but alas...
mymilkshake I love the name Evelyn Claire, and I love your H calling her his little Eclaire. So adorable.
athn64 I like Marion spelled the french way with an "o." I've always liked that spelling regardless of gender, though I really prefer Marion for a girl.
Marion and Claire are both on my (pretty extensive) list of girl names.
Other girl names I'm considering: Charleston (combo of DH's name and his father's name - Charles and Thurston) Stella Ellis Elisa (Combo of both of our mother's names) Blair Lacey Paige Faye Chelsea Lark Sloane Emery Selma Lola Millie Evan
I'm AMA and this is my first pregnancy, so I've had a long time to think of these names! I've been thinking of baby names for years lol. DH is laid back and will pretty much let me pick whatever name I want.
I know this is going to sound funny, but it's our story so hear goes.
When DH and I got our first dog, we brought her home and then I got online & started looking at names for her. When I read her name out loud we were both totally smitten and knew it was the one. Now with puppy #2 that didn't happen & we're still so-so about her name 8 months later. DH is worried (and I am too) that we need to have that love-at-first sight/hear with our babies name. So if we suggest something and the other doesn't instantly LOVE it, that's pretty much as good as a veto.
I wish we didn't feel this way because I know names can grow on you & the way you hear them can change.
I had always planned on using a family name, but then my family purposefully cut ties with me when my mom died so I don't feel the need to honor them anymore, and so a few solid names are now out.

GOmamab15 DH and I had an awful time choosing names for our son (Tyler). I didn't love his name and it's still not one of my favorite names but it's grown on me and totally suits him! It can happen.
