LO has been fussy the past few days, so I'm just spending my day cuddling and soothing him. Aaaaand he just spit up right down my cleavage. So hopefully there's a shower in my near future!
Thinking I'm going to attempt the gym this morning. Way excited to be cleared to work out again, but a little nervous about leaving LO in childcare.
Other than that, just cleaning since I only have 3 days in between groups of house guests :^/
I was cleared to work out a long time ago but still haven't managed to start. I tell myself that the stairs up to our 3rd floor apartment count as a work-out. That's a thing, right?
Is nursing ADD a thing? LO is in this phase where he latches fine, but then after a few seconds turns his head away and can't re-attach. I'm sure that he will get over it, but in the meantime it is super frustrating! Has anyone else had this or have any suggestions?
Is you milk maybe coming out too fast? You could try pumping just a bit before latching him and see if that helps.
Or it's not coming fast enough and he is impatient. Either way it should just be a phase. Keep trying and like pp said maybe just distract or reposition him for a minute and settle him back down before attempting to relatch.
I am sick, and so are both boys. The older one seems to be coming out of it. I got it the worst and spent Thursday and Friday in bed as much as possible. I still have a runny nose and sore throat. But poor L makes me so sad his little nose is stuffed up but not running. He sounds awful at times, and is having trouble nursing. I keep going back and forth on taking him in to see a doc. I am pretty sure they will tell me there is nothing to be done and we just have to ride it out. But I am worried I am neglecting him since he is the poor second kid.

I feel you on the little one stuffed up.. DS2 has been stuffed up for a while now, he did have a cough as well, but that finally went away(poor baby) the Dr keeps saying its just allergies.. He sounds so pitiful though and at times wakes up crying because its hard for him to breathe through his nose especially between the hours of 3am and 9am. It makes me feel terrible he will be 10 weeks on Thursday.

Do you use a humidifier at night for the baby? When DD was stuffed up as a baby I used the Vicks humidifier with the baby vapor pads and it helped out a lot. I also would use saline spray to keep her nose from drying out.
We have been running the humidifier, saline helps for short term. Just when I think he is getting better he has a rough night of sniffles. It's hard to see babies this little sick.
The first couple of times having post partum sex is just plain awkward.
I'm worried about leaky boobs during sex. When my OB did my breast check at my 6 week appointment last week they started to leak so talk about a mood killer during sexy time. I guess I'll have to keep a bra on with my breast pads...sounds so hot.
